When the Villains Unite - Chapter 4; Part 5
The sun shined in my face as if to announce it was morning.
That’s weird. My room doesn’t light up…
Well, I’m in a good mood right now and even though I knew it was time to wake up, I wanted to keep sleeping. Last night was too long for me.
I unconsciously moved around the bed, searching for warmth. A satisfied smile formed on my mouth when the bright sunlight was obscured.
“It’s warm.”
The warmth that surrounded me on both sides made me feel drowsy. The soft, gentle touch stroking my hair made me feel pleasant.
Wait, stroking my hair?
Oh, right. I slept in bed with the brothers.
I must have really not been in the right mind yesterday. I can’t believe I asked to sleep together. Surprisingly, the Orca brothers agreed to it, though.
And I guess… the arm I was resting my head upon belonged to one of them…
Their arms were hard, yet warm, and didn’t feel like a pillow, but somehow, I was comfortable.
However, I tried to escape their arms, pretending to toss and turn without them noticing. But, my movement was stopped by their hands.
“Sleep more, Rose.”
I guess the owner of this arm belongs to Bellamy. Opposite of Bellamy, it is Damian who radiates warmth to me from behind…
I woke up confused by the situation, but I immediately relaxed because of the love felt within their touch.
But, I can’t be so relaxed right now. In a week, the Count plans to send me out of here.
“Excuse me… Damian.”
“Shh, sleep more.”
Am I mistaken? They seemed very sleepy…
Hearing the Orca brothers with their voices full of exhaustion, I was worried I caused them more trouble than I thought yesterday. But I couldn’t stop saying what I needed to say because it was urgent.
I got out of bed. Bellamy frowned as the warmth had disappeared from his arms.
Does Bellamy have a habit of cuddling with something in his arms while sleeping? He didn’t seem happy at all with the situation. I might need to lie down again…
“The Count said he would take me out of the annex in a week. So you have to be ready to escape by the end of the week.”
“Yes, I see. Sister, let’s go back to sleep. We’re tired.”
I’m talking about something serious, but they aren’t listening at all. If that’s not enough, then Damian beckons me and pulls my arm down. What’s wrong with these two?
“No! We need to hur-… Wait!”
Damian’s power knocked me down onto the bed. Bellamy wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me towards him once again. Damian looked at him, clicked his tongue, then wrapped himself around me as well.
What are you two doing?
It was frustrating to be stuck between these two. I was grateful that they acted like nothing happened yesterday, but I was anxious about what would come next.
As the days passed by, the plans we had already made had become twisted. If we don’t prepare for it and everything goes on, it will be futile.
I hated myself for making the worst assumptions, knowing that the Orca brothers were not weak enough to be beaten by the Count.
I sigh, then relaxed, leaning my face against Damian’s neck while still being held in Bellamy’s arms.
“Sister… Are you upset?”
They coerced me into their arms yet I relaxed, so Damian pulled himself away and looked at my face. He seemed quite perplexed at my expression.
“…”
I was disappointed in them, who were calm without knowing my anxious heart. When Damian got up, I pulled Bellamy’s arm off my waist in anger and stood up from the bed.
“I don’t want to be taken away by the Count anymore.”
“…”
“But now… why are you doing this? I…”
They’re the only ones I can trust. Tears sprang up in my eyes. I thought I shed all my tears yesterday, but I guess I was wrong.
They promised to believe in me and I was angry at them for doing nothing. I became even more upset when it seemed as if they weren’t in any rush. But then, one of them hugged me from behind.
Seeing thin and long fingers and big hands, it was clear that it was Bellamy. Why are you just peacefully holding me?
“Shh… don’t cry.”
“…”
“We took care of everything before the sun rose. We haven’t finished cleaning everything yet, so we’ll stay in the annex for a while.”
“… What?”
What do you mean you ‘finished?’ What? The Count?
The unexpected remark made bewildered me. Damian, who was sitting by the bedside, chimed in.
“Why are you crying, sister? If you keep going like this, you’ll really be a crybaby.”
“I’m not a crybaby! But do you mean that you’ve taken care of everything?”
“We mean it literally… We were a little angry yesterday…”
Damian’s words trailed off as he looked at Bellamy. He was hugging me from behind so I didn’t see the signal he sent toward Damian.
“All the employees ran, we caught the Count and locked him underground. It’s not a pretty scene, so it’s better if you don’t go near the basement.”
Bellamy held a strange look in his eyes as he spoke, but that wasn’t important.
When? In the morning? Was this supposed to happen so easily? Perhaps it’s due to their remarkable growth. It almost felt a little… empty.
“I’m sorry we didn’t finish faster. If we had been in a little more of a hurry… that wouldn’t have happened.”
I felt guilty listening to Bellamy’s low voice behind me.
It’s true I was subjected to the Count sexually assaulting me because they didn’t move faster, even though they were capable. But, could they have expected that to happen? Having had constant meetings with the Count, I never thought he was criminal enough to attempt to rape a minor. I never even imagined a future where Rose was still alive.
It wasn’t easy for me to say okay, though. No matter how unexpected it was, I really wanted to die. But still…
“So, it’s time to say goodbye to our lives here?”
I didn’t wish to hurt them, so I spoke in a bright tone.
We can’t undo what has already happened, and now that they’ve dealt with the count, we’re free. The problem of my survival, which I was most worried about after entering this novel, was solved by his end and the Orca brothers opening up to me.
Now, I should enjoy everything else as if I’m an extra in the original novel.
But, what happens to me? Can I stay with the Orca brothers after this? Bellamy will receive the title of Duke ahead of schedule, and Damian will probably enter the academy.
“That’s really good. We can all go back to normal now. Both of you can meet your friends from when you were young… You can ride the horses that you always liked… Well, what else is there? It’s been so long that I don’t remember.”
“And you will be the noblest princess in the Empire.”
