The Villainess Captured The Grand Duke - Chapter 61
Chapter 61
“Scheuer, is there a possibility?”
“The possibility lies with them. I’m just here to convey the message to Lord Raphel.”
He observed the gruesome scene without flinching, raising his chin arrogantly. The contrast of white against the bloody backdrop made his eyes particularly sensitive.
The clergy separated the individuals with minor injuries, dealing with those who needed attention.
“Would you please step back for a moment?”
Following the clergy’s request, Jess and Scheuer had to move away from the scene.
As soon as her feet hit the ground, Scheuer quickly ran towards where Raygrain was. He was still dryly observing the battlefield. She lifted her head before him, who wasn’t looking at her.
Raygrain asked coldly,
“Do you also have doubts?”
Surprised by his unexpected question, she hesitated for a moment before shaking her head.
“No?”
Only then did he shift his gaze downwards. Scheuer, inappropriately smiling, spoke,
“You said it wasn’t the Duke. So, it isn’t.”
For a moment, her lips, as if sprouting some words, moved, but there was no trace. He had consistently claimed it wasn’t a demon. Scheuer believed him. Despite not having seen the demon, someone with hands scarred from protecting the North wouldn’t lie.
Clasping her hands tightly, she faced him as if shouting,
“I’ll always be on the Duke’s side, so don’t worry!”
Even with Scheuer’s encouragement, he remained indifferent. If anything, he seemed puzzled by Scheuer’s blind faith.
“On what basis are you believing?”
It seemed like he needed to understand and accept it himself. He had never pondered and evaluated things this way before. As his gaze landed on his slightly wrinkled nose during his contemplation, Scheuer found the answer.
“Because it’s the Duke!”
For some reason, it felt like there was a momentary tension in the hand that held the sword.

Sevi walked through the battlefield with a dry demeanor, not bothering to bow. It was enough for him. When his hand lightly passed through the air, a soft light emanated. It was tremendous divine power, and in reality, it didn’t take long to heal the numerous injuries.
He even gestured with his fingers in front of the knight who stood before Scheuer. The short-lived spark of white flames soon disappeared without a trace. The breathing of the knights, who intermittently coughed up blood, gradually returned to normal.
Scheuer’s mouth gradually widened in awe at the unfamiliar divine power. The once grim battlefield now seemed to come to life.
“Yes! The worth of all those struggles with that rock is finally revealed!”
Scheuer joyfully shouted, gathering her hands in a neat manner.
“Lord Sevi!”
She exclaimed, her eyes shining with gratitude.
Sevi brushed his neat hair behind his ears and raised an eyebrow.
“Alright, that expression. Let’s make the praise a bit more enthusiastic.”
“Lord Sevi, your power almost unified the continent!”
Scheuer praised her eyes sparkling with sincerity.
“Well, that’s an obvious statement. Not very praiseworthy,”
Sevi replied, fair in his judgments. He granted beauty and power in exchange for a dirty personality.
But Scheuer, who she was, shouldn’t she get some reward for enduring this much hardship?
Scheuer clenched her fists painfully in her conscience’s grip and opened her mouth with anguish.
“Really…”
Sevi was openly waiting for the continuation with a mocking expression. Trying to say words she didn’t believe, Scheuer’s forehead furrowed deeply.
Unconsciously, she spoke with a solemn expression.
“If it’s for Lord Sevi, I feel like I could dedicate my entire fortune.”
Sevi, seemingly unimpressed, asked,
“How much is it?”
Scheuer, with trembling hands, extended the flowers she held towards him. It wasn’t what she had expected.

Not long after, even the knights who were in a daze were starting to regain their senses. Above their bodies, flower petals fell gently.
Sevi, looking at the scattered chamomile on the ground, clicked his fingers.
“Koa, what do you see with your eyes?”
“Flowers.”
“Who asked if it was a flower?”
“Looks like a chamomile.”
“Who asked about the type?”
Koa responded with an unwavering gaze and voice, seemingly unaffected by Sevi’s constant teasing.
“It seems to be the same flower that Lord Sebi is holding.”
“I thought your eyesight was bad, but you can distinguish. But why didn’t you answer about today’s beauty score?”
At this, Koa stubbornly kept her mouth shut.
Sevi picked up a chamomile flower scattered on the ground. It had already served its life, and even the petals were nearly gone, presenting a withered appearance. However, the faint remaining energy within it was familiar.
The bouquet that Nettri had received from Eina was just ordinary chamomile. A common flower that could be found anywhere. The amount of blood flowing in the battlefield was substantial, even for a regular human, it should have led to immediate death. Even considering that it included the blood of beasts, the quantity was considerable. Yet, they endured until I arrived.
“Koa, who told me to come?”
“I heard it was ordered by Commander Erina.”
“I never heard that Nettri, the next head of the family, was known for using chamomile.”
“She might use Lantana for her flowers.”
Two individuals with power in one family was unheard of. Power could only be obtained by one person in a family. Moreover, this familiar sensation matched what Sevi had been seeking in a target for so long.

“It was undoubtedly a monster.”
The knights, now composed, all spoke with terrified voices. Most couldn’t recall anything due to the sudden attack. However, among them, a knight named Teper insisted consistently that he had seen the monster. The knight who initially shouted about the monster from the beginning had died. When questioned about the appearance of the monster, Teper described it consistently:
“Yes! It was black, and its eyes were as red as jewels. It was the size of a castle wall.”
The consistent descriptions pointed to a uniform appearance. Scheuer quietly asked Jess, who was next to her,
“Are there monsters like that?”
“Yes. There are easily more than 300 that come to mind immediately.”
Could all monsters just look like that? The description was too vague to be distinctive. With that, Erina, with a tone indicating there was nothing more to hear, shouted to the Second Knight Order,
“Send a subjugation team to the border immediately!”
Even Silcaro, who always seemed relaxed, checked the personnel at the Royal Knights without saying a word, preparing for departure.
Listening quietly, Raygrain asked the knight who just answered,
“Do you remember any other characteristics or sounds?”
“As for the sound, there weren’t many encounters, so…,”
the knight hesitated.
“The wounds were smooth. You should have verified that with your eyes.”
“The nails were long and sharp.”
“Was there only one?”
“Well, yes.”
Hearing the answers, Jess also smirked slightly. Ragrain spoke to Silcaro, who had finished preparing for deployment.
“Smile Love”
