The Queen of Villains - Chapter 13 part 2
Lucius and Emily were having a longer conversation than expected.
It was thanks to the endless topics that Lucius had prepared. Emily, who had never been to another country outside of the Bancet Empire, found Lucius’ travel stories incredibly fascinating.
“I must visit the Robert Empire after hearing you talk about it.”
Robert Empire was the birthplace of all trends and a country known as the cultural powerhouse. Anyone with even a slight interest in art would want to visit.
Upon hearing Emily’s words, a faint smile formed on Lucius’ lips.
“If you go to the Robert Empire, I can be your guide.”
Emily was about to politely decline with a smile when he interrupted.
“Your Highness doesn’t have to do that.”
Kilian entered the greenhouse with a cold expression on his face. Emily was taken aback by his sudden appearance at this hour and stood up from her seat. Shortly after, Alvin followed him, panting.
Kilian was not someone who showed emotions easily. Since the death of his parents, he had never genuinely expressed anger or even laughed.
But there was clearly anger in his eyes as he looked at the two of them.
‘Anger? Why?’
While jealousy or anger could be expected upon seeing the two of them together, the intense and dark emotions seemed a bit excessive to Alvin.
“I’m sorry, but Your Highness the Crown Prince, I want you to return to the palace now.”
Kilian’s attitude towards the crown prince was quite rude.
No matter how weak the imperial power is, the imperial family is the imperial family. His words and actions made Emily and Alvin nervous next to him.
As expected, Lucius stood up from his seat, unable to hide his displeasure.
“I don’t think I remember being greeted by the Marquis yet.”
“I’ll greet you properly when we meet at an official place.”
Kilian answered with firmness. Emily had no choice but to intervene to dispel the tension.
“Then, Your Highness, allow us to accompany you to the entrance.”
But it wasn’t Kilian who wanted to see him off.
“Alvin, you will accompany him instead.”
“Yes, understood. ”
Alvin approached Lucius cautiously, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
“Your Highness, allow me to escort you.”
After all, Lucius was not an officially invited guest. Though it was unpleasant to be treated as an uninvited guest, he decided to withdraw for now.
“It’s a shame we couldn’t spend more time together. I’ll take my leave now.”
And as if attempting to scratch Kilian’s pride, he lightly kissed the back of Emily’s hand before leaving with Alvin. Once everyone had left, Kilian looked at Emily with cold eyes.
“You’d better be more careful with your actions.”
“What do you mean?”
“Inviting a strange man into your house and behaving flirtatiously.”
Emily, who had done nothing but receive the unexpected visit from the Crown Prince, felt unjustly accused to the point of frustration.
“I was flirting?”
“Especially.”
Kilian continued to speak sternly without taking his gaze off her eyes.
“The person you were entertaining is the Crown Prince known for his indulgent reputation in the Robert Empire.”
Just as Alvin returned after seeing off Lucius, he hurriedly approached Kilian to clear up the misunderstanding.
“Your Highness, about this invitation…”
“Alvin, since when could you interrupt me when I’m speaking?”
Alvin, sweating nervously, looked back and forth between Kilian and Emily. Emily was equally afraid of Kilian. There weren’t many people who could emit such an oppressive aura when facing a prince of a country.
‘I momentarily forgot about his gentle attitude, but he is indeed a mafia boss.’
But just backing down like this made her feel angry. Emily suppressed her fear and calmly continued speaking.
“Your Lordship, I’m disappointed. You didn’t even try to listen to what I had to say and didn’t even listen to Alvin’s explanation.”
Alvin looked at Emily with a surprised expression. He had never seen anyone confront Kilian and point out his mistakes like this before. The gentle and warm lady he thought she was turned out to be unexpectedly strong-willed and confident.
“I never invited the Crown Prince.”
Upon hearing her words, Kilian sighed heavily and opened his mouth.
“Then how did the Crown Prince end up here?”
“I don’t know either. Your Highness, someone must have forged an invitation using my name and brought him here.”
Biting his lips, Kilian mulled over who would do such a thing.
“I will find out who is responsible.”
But Emily didn’t feel pleased about that statement.
“No, it’s my responsibility, so I’ll take care of it.”
After finishing her words, Emily turned around and went to her room.
She lashed out in frustration because Killian didn’t apologize for the misunderstanding, but her heart pounded even before she closed the door because she felt like she was being ordered by the mafia boss.
“Ugh! I’m not a subordinate, I’m your wife, so what the fuck?”
It was Emily, pretending to be strong, screaming into empty space.

“Your Lordship…”
Alvin cautiously called him as they were left alone.
Although he tried to hide his expression as much as possible, Alvin, who had been observing him for a long time, could tell that Kilian was regretting his actions.
“Alvin, why didn’t you report the whole situation properly earlier?”
“What?”
Alvin’s eyes widened at the sudden outburst.
“You should have clearly stated that the mistress didn’t invite the Crown Prince.”
He had been trying so hard to convey that fact since earlier! He really wanted to hit his boss on the head if he could.
Killian knew that he was taking out his anger on Alvin for no reason.
However, he bit his lip tightly because he felt like he would explode if he didn’t turn his grudge against someone. He could taste the fishy blood of his bitten lip. But this time, Alvin had no intention of helping Killian either. Problems between men and women tend to get worse when someone intervenes.
“Please go and apologize to the mistress.”
“…I’m tired, so just prepare the bathwater.”
Killian also knew that he had to go and apologize to Emily.
But seeing her expression earlier, he felt that no matter what he said, her mood wouldn’t improve.
He didn’t have the courage to face Emily, who was clearly angry with him.
Alvin, as if deeming Killian pathetic, glanced at him briefly and went alone into the mansion to fetch the bathwater.
‘Ugh. The master needs to control his temper, but when he gets entangled with the mistress, he’s like this… .’
