The Maid Under the Stairs - Chapter 38 - R19
< Chapter 38 >
William went out to get a leisurely breakfast for Mabel, who could hardly move anymore.
It was breakfast, and as if occupying her body several times throughout the night wasn’t enough, William had been stroking her body, which had been covered in his marks since morning.
Confirming William’s departure from the villa, Mabel finally dragged her exhausted body into the bathroom. Her whole body ached and felt sore as if bruised.
She filled the warm bath with green tea, sulfur, and lily powder, a bathing method she had picked up among the maids to prevent ‘conceiving.’ She never imagined she’d need it, but not wanting William or herself to have any regrets, Mabel found solace in remembering this bathing technique.
As she immersed herself in the hot water, her red and sore body gradually relaxed.
‘Last night, he tried so hard not to hurt me.’
She recalled the sensation of his strong muscles along her thighs. She had only heard about physical love between men and women from Aunt Louise and other maids, but instinctively, she could feel William holding back the reins of his wild desires with all his might. Of course, eventually, she succumbed to his temptation and desire.
If Aunt Louise were to learn about the many ways Mabel and William made love last night, she would undoubtedly be ecstatic, warning them not to wear out their knees by candlelight!
Mabel blushed again, remembering him ravishing her like a beast.
Grabbing her ample breasts with one hand and her pelvis with the other, William pushed her down to her knees and rammed into her precariously positioned body from behind.
‘Ah…!’
Their villa being on a secluded beach was fortunate. Mabel couldn’t stop herself from moaning loudly, a sound she had never made before in her life.
Even though his thick and long member hadn’t fully entered, it made Mabel’s waist ache. Trembling, she accepted him, leaning her waist and neck back.
Her reddish-brown hair swayed alluringly in the dawn light. Against all odds, his member, which seemed impossible to fit, parted her body and pushed in all the way to the roots.
‘Ah!’
She leaned her back against his firm chest as if surrendering her body to him on the coastal cliff, moving her body with him as if learning to dance.
‘It’s like learning a dance from him.’
Thinking back to last night’s moment, Mabel buried herself deeper in the water out of embarrassment. At first, she was overwhelmed by his passion, filling her entire body and shaking her, but later, she couldn’t resist and found herself moving her waist to match his movements, unable to overcome her instincts.
‘It feels like a dream.…’
Then it truly was a dream she never wanted to wake from. Mabel could never have imagined her feelings for William being reciprocated like this. As she nestled in his embrace, her desire for him grew even deeper, to the point where she wanted to remain by his side, even in the shadow of his shadow.
“So this is why one doesn’t easily give up a position in the government…”
Mabel muttered to herself, recalling the other maids who endured heartache while staying in the unofficial mistresses to the noblemen they served. However, no matter how much she thought about it, William was not the kind of man to have a mistress.
“Let’s stop thinking about it. It’s overwhelming to think about it now.”
Mabel nodded to herself in determination. Yet, in a corner of her heart, she felt heavy thinking about William’s confession to her this morning.
Mabel closed her eyes again and reminisced about the morning after spending a hot night with him.
The sunlight streamed in through the window, and William, exhausted but exhilarated, kissed Mabel’s rounded shoulder as he woke her up.
‘Mm…’
Meeting the drowsy Mabel, half-opened due to tiredness, was the sight of the ecstatic William looking at her with the bright sunlight at his back and his firm bare chest.
‘Oops.’
In an instant, Mabel remembered the fact that she and William Edmundstone were in the same bed, along with the audacious deeds of last night, and quickly pulled the white blanket up to her head. But all she could see under it was her body covered in red marks.
‘I did say to be careful…’
William gently stroked the red marks on Mabel’s exposed calf outside the blanket. He, too, had not been without effort. It was inevitable that her delicate skin would turn red with the countless repetitions, no matter how delicately he handled her like a porcelain doll.
Thinking about this, Mabel struggled to hide her entire body under the blanket, her face growing even redder.
‘Are you trying to escape?’
Seeing Mabel squirming under the blanket, William chuckled and asked, making Mabel hesitate.
‘Why, why would I, why would I want to escape…’
‘Oh, so you’d rather pretend you don’t remember at all?’
The blanket paused for a moment, then trembled. Seeing this, William lightly kissed her calf, which he hadn’t let go of yet. While last night’s memories were sensual enough to revive, the blanket enveloping Mabel remained unmoving.
‘Well, like this?’
William pushed his arm further into the blanket, tracing along the soft contours of her leg with his hand.
‘There’s nothing I can do. Until you remember…’
‘I remember, I do, I remember everything!’
Now blushing all the way to her neck, Mabel exclaimed, stopping his seductive touch.
‘How could I forget!’
Mabel closed her eyes tightly, remembering his imposing presence that pushed and entered tirelessly. And now, to respond to his touch so readily, to not remember. Unlike the bewildered Mabel, who knew nothing of his inner thoughts, William looked at her, feeling sorry for her.
‘It’s a pity. I was going to show you each memory again if you couldn’t remember.’
With William’s sincere words, Mabel pulled the blanket up to her head again. The more she thought about it, the more she couldn’t believe her actions from yesterday. She’d barely stopped kissing him in the doorway, and she’d begged him to be a gentleman and dragged him into bed with her own hands.
She hadn’t grown up as the darling of a family, so there was no way she would find in any lady’s etiquette book instructions to beg a man to ‘teach her how to follow her desires.’ Even the lewd stories Aunt Louise or any other maids giggled about seemed insignificant compared to what she had done yesterday.
Come to think of it, how would William think of her after seducing him all night and moaning in pleasure? As she thought about it, Mabel felt dreadful.
‘Mabel, my lovely Bella.’
As if reading Mabel’s unease, William gently kissed her hand, clenched tightly around the blanket, and spoke.
‘Thank you for showing me your heart. I’m grateful that you’ve allowed me to make you happy.’
Only then did the tension ease slightly from Mabel’s two hands. William didn’t miss a beat and kissed each of Mabel’s fingers after releasing them. It was a gentlemanly kiss, opposite to last night’s.
‘Of course, I can’t compare to what you’ve done to make me happy.’
Remembering Mabel’s white legs he had enveloped and her trembling lips as he tried to kiss them, William smiled.
Finally, Mabel’s face, a mixture of shyness and anxiety, appeared beyond the blanket. As if he had discovered a precious treasure, William gently kissed her while enclosing her between his shoulders.
Receiving a tender kiss that bordered on sacredness, Mabel opened her eyes again to find William looking straight at her. In his blue eyes, any roughness from last night or clumsiness from earlier had disappeared, replaced by a serene seriousness.
‘I love you, Mabel. From the very first moment until now, without ever stopping.’
With a low and resonant voice, William confessed his love to her.
‘Ah…’
Overwhelmed by the rising emotions, Mabel’s nose felt stuffy. He was usually someone hard to read, but right now, she realized he was confessing the most sincere and profound feelings.
For an unmarried woman to spend a night with a man, the most anxious and vulnerable moment. As if not wanting to question her actions or give her even the slightest chance to regret the night, he confessed his love to her with a sincere voice, as if he was laying bare his true feelings.
‘Mr. Edmundstone… I… I…’
Tears welled up in Mabel’s eyes, and her heart was filled with a poignant sorrow as if it were burning in flames. Her lips trembled, wanting to say out loud that she loved him.
However, she couldn’t bring herself to utter the solemn words of love without promising a future, revealing her withered innermost feelings to him. So instead of a response, Mabel hugged him tightly. She hoped that the freshness of the sea and William’s mature scent would calm her racing thoughts.
The rough sound of the waves and the chirping of seabirds announcing the end of summer through the open window echoed in Mabel’s ears.
