Episode 101
Dylan raised the dagger lightly, slicing through the air as if threatening Terius and Shuri.
The blade flew dangerously close to their faces before embedding into the balcony wall.
A wrong move could have resulted in death.
Terius and Shuri stiffened, looking at Dylan with confusion. “Wh-why are you suddenly…”
“…Dylan, is there some terrorist organization behind us?” Shuri asked.
Dylan responded gracefully, “This is a warning.”
“A… warning?”
“Do not approach my wife again.”
Wait, Ishael was the one who approached them.
They made unjust expressions and bit their lips, but Dylan’s words came out faster.
“We don’t want to cause a big commotion, so keep quiet,” Terius said incredulously.
“Did you forget that just attacking us caused a big commotion?” Shuri retorted.
“You’re the ones who first disturbed my emotions.”
Before Shuri could object, he scratched his neck awkwardly.
“Are you upset because we mentioned the divorce?”
“As nobles, we can make such remarks! Attacking us is a serious crime.”
“Dare to confront our family formally and take responsibility.”
Dylan stared at them coldly, trying to gauge them.
Could those insignificant men have shared their childhood with Ishael Odette?
His jealousy burned, and he felt his cheeks heating up.
As they remained silent, Shuri mumbled with uncertainty, “Why no response?”
“If you’re thinking of running away without your tails, stop right there.”
“W-what? If we run away, everyone will laugh at us, and Diana will pity you,” Shuri said half-heartedly.
“Ugh, to be pitied by my wife because I married a man of low status! That’s just the worst!”
Upon hearing those words, Dylan gently chuckled, as if he had a good idea.
“Ah, I see. I won’t run away with my tail between my legs.”
“Huh?”
Whether they said it or not, Dylan had already finished all his calculations in his mind.
“Spread the rumor that I got scared and ran away from you.”
If a bad rumor about himself reached Ishael’s ears, she might show sympathy. He didn’t have the memories of his childhood, but it pleased him to know he could have a hint of her empathy.
“Perhaps I might become the only object of her compassion…”
Unaware that there might be something wrong with his thought process, Dylan smiled brilliantly.
Terius and Shuri, who had seen the bright-eyed madman, stepped back hesitantly.
Somehow, he seemed more menacing than when the sword flew towards them.
Nevertheless, Dylan had already crossed the balcony railing, as if he was running away.

The first extravagant ball filled with extraordinary events had ended.
The next day, a small tea party was held within the Saboia mansion to discuss what happened yesterday.
Numerous influential figures from the social circles gathered and began discussing.
“Is she really Lady Diana?”
“Maybe she’s just an adopted daughter?”
“I’m going crazy wanting to know the truth…”
Knights and ladies alike were all abuzz with excitement.
“We didn’t even get a chance to ask properly.”
“After dancing once and just showing her face, she disappeared.”
Perhaps thanks to them, the stock of Terius and Shuri, who had briefly conversed with Ishael, skyrocketed.
The problem was that they couldn’t seem to shake off the unease they were feeling.
They didn’t focus on the relationship between Lady Diana and Ishael; instead, they kept gossiping about Dylan’s power.
It was extremely impolite, shallow, and lacking in manners.
There was someone who was as keen as Terius and Shuri, who were victimized by Dylan’s actions.
It was Elliot, who had been humiliated by Claude.
She was truly uncomfortable with all the attention on Diana’s identity.
Elliot narrowed her eyes slightly and brought up a keyword to change the situation.
“Let’s talk about the Majung Stone Mine.”
Everyone blinked, looking at her with anticipation.
There was a reason Elliot was this arrogant.
Her father, Viscount Meli, had recently discovered ten Majung Stone mines, even though they might be impure, a Majung Stone was still a Majung Stone.
People’s eyes sparkled, wondering if they could somehow profit from this, even if it was a Congo Water Lily.
“We’re really looking forward to it. How could there be ten Majung Stone mines?”
“It’s the Empire’s prosperity.”
“Have you decided which Ma Tower to offer?”
“I’m still considering. Since I have a close relationship with Claude, I might head towards the Philosopher’s Ma Tower…”
Then, a magician leaned forward, his beard hanging down. “Ah, ten impure Majung Stone mines, you say?”
“Yes.”
Did it die? The magician started to listen to the conversation circulating in the conference room without saying a word.
Elliot gazed at Ishael mockingly, her fingers supporting her chin.
It was evident that the Majung Stone Mine was completely depleted.
Seizing the momentum, Elliot started spreading negative rumors about Ishael.
“…Come to think of it, yesterday’s ball was different from the etiquette of high society.”
“In what way?”
“We couldn’t hear a proper introduction about Lady Diana, so I broke out in a cold sweat.”
“I see.”
“Isn’t her appearance decidedly different from our memory of Lady Diana?”
The nobles exchanged glances.
It was definitely odd.
On that night, the ball was held again in the Saboia mansion.
Today’s ball was even more grand in scale.
To celebrate Lady Diana’s return, the Saboia family gifted each noble with a bewitched, beautiful jewel.
Despite that, the public opinion about Lady Diana wasn’t favorable.
Generally, there was an atmosphere of disbelief about Lady Diana being Ishael Odette.
Surprisingly, no one from the Saboia family prevented the scandalous rumors from spreading throughout the day.
Elliot’s lips curled into a self-satisfied smile.
“Indeed, Claude seems to lack much interest, as I expected.”
She looked at Ishael, who stood against the wall like a flower, and raised her lips.
“Why is Lady Diana alone?”
“Right.”
“I’m really curious.”
It wasn’t that she was truly curious, just a light disdain.
Turning back to the source, she approached Ishael, who was quietly sipping wine alone.
Isolating the prey that was alone and defenseless was an easy task.

I gazed blankly at Elliot approaching me.
Terius and Shuri, behind her, exchanged a glance with me.
Ignoring them lightly, I shifted my gaze towards the balcony.
I was setting up the bombs to capture the Red Castle. There wasn’t much time left.
It was when Elliot tried to speak up, irritated by my blatant disregard.
The balcony door opened, and Dylan appeared.
He was always impressive, but today he was exceptionally handsome.
As he approached me, he carried a soft smile on his lips.
“Master of my heart,” he said.
People looked astonished.
I had crafted a cringeworthy line for the sake of attention and impact.
“Seriously, this is like a more serious upgrade than Baby!”
But I had already adapted through the Newlywed Program.
“Oh, Lord Dylan. No…”
I smiled sweetly and took his hand.
“Shall I call you Grand Duke Castilla?”
The atmosphere chilled at my words.
There was only one Grand Duke in the Empire, and that was Grand Duke Castilla, the one cursed.
Elliot responded with a trembling voice, “What is this about?”
I stared at her and followed my planned course by giving a subtle threat.
“If you don’t want to be cursed, you better leave.”
* * *
Elliot froze in surprise and became stiff.
Everyone here was well aware of the ominous rumors about Grand Duke Castilla.
Chewing on demon meat, enjoying killing, and despising things like kindness… it was all part of the rumors.
“So, Grand Duke, I mean, curse…”
It was when Elliot, trembling with feeble fear, staggered back, that Dylan looked at Ishael affectionately and spoke gently, “Exactly. There are many who do not fear the curse.”
Her face quickly turned red at their conversation. Nobles behind Elliot whispered softly.
“Could it be that Lord Dylan is Grand Duke Castilla?”
“That can’t be…”
“He suddenly appears like this?”
Well, it was indeed unbelievable. Suddenly, Grand Duke Castilla?
Moreover, although Dylan looked menacing, he didn’t exactly seem like the ‘Grand Duke of the Fear of Consuming Humans.’
Nobles started mixing in doubt, suggesting it might be an impostor.
Benefitting from this, Elliot spoke up.
“Ishael Odette, Lady Diana’s husband, and Lord Dylan, the Grand Duke Castilla? Does that make sense?”
Then, right at that moment, as if timing it perfectly, the Emperor, Claude, and Duke Saboia appeared through the open doorway.
Without any clear signal, the presence of these giants left the nobles even more bewildered.
Duke Saboia burst into laughter.
“Why is the atmosphere like this? It’s a ball, isn’t it?”
Claude turned his gaze around, his eyes fixed on Elliot.
“What’s going on?”
“Here, Ishael Odette, I mean, Lady Diana’s husband.”
“What? Husband? How infuriating. Anyway, go on.”
Just then, Terius and Shuri, who had grievances against Dylan, interjected swiftly.
“Lord Dylan stated that he is indeed Grand Duke Castilla.”
Other nobles began to look at the Duke, the Emperor, and Claude as if they were about to die.
Especially the Emperor, his expression remained oddly calm as he looked solely at Ishael and Dylan.
Inside, Elliot, Terius, and Shuri quietly cheered.
Even if Dylan were truly Grand Duke Castilla, it wouldn’t be a pleasant situation for the Emperor.
The existence of the cursed Duke was undoubtedly a vulnerability for the imperial palace.
As expected, the Emperor’s displeased expression began to show.
