I Will Not Fall For the Villain’s Flirtations - Chapter 4
chapter B. the man who fears no punishment
“Master.”
A woman with short, reddish-brown hair bowed in front of the man and spoke.
The man, who was lying on the roof and staring at the moon, didn’t even glance at his subordinate and threw away the object he was holding.
As a result, the woman was surprised. She caught it with a startled look and gave her superior a sharp-eyed look.
“Why would you throw a holy relic! What if it falls and gets damaged?”
“It’ll probably get dented, so what?”
Once again, Sneka sighed heavily as she looked at the master, who consistently made her the right arm of misfortune. She carefully placed the gold candlestick she had just received inside a long velvet pouch.
As she looked at the man again, he was still crossing his legs and gazing at the night sky.
“What on earth have you been doing all this time? You knew the barrier was going to be reinforced.”
“That’s why I called you.”
“It leaves traces! I’ve only found one…”
“Hush.”
Even though his opponent was losing her temper, he simply calmly placed his index finger on his lips.
When Sneka gave up on hearing a proper answer, she eventually resigned and turned away. It was then that the man, who had been absentmindedly gazing at the sky, suddenly called her.
“Sneka, we need to send some monsters to Luticia.”
“…What? But it has already been completely destroyed a long time ago…”
“That’s why we need to send more. When they feel at ease.”
He smiled faintly and turned to look at her.
Sneka, who finally saw the face of her superior at a late moment, shook her head as if she were annoyed.
“You are truly deserving of divine punishment.”
“It’s okay. There’s no such thing.”
While Sneka let out a small snicker, she didn’t bother to deny his words. After confirming the condition of the velvet pouch once again, she spoke.
“Please have fun in moderation.”
“Yeah.”
As always, his tone was serene, devoid of any sincerity.
Glancing at her exasperating boss, Sneka once again pondered the question that came to mind when she was bored.
Was going to the tower really the best option?
