Beast, Blue Blood - Chapter 45 - Slight R19
Chapter 45
“Then why don’t you just marry me? Why would you want to marry another man when you want everything with me?”
With that, Hisha seemed somewhat annoyed as he pressed her against him.
Eugene barely managed to speak.
“ISLE is developing a virus…”
The CIA wanted to take down Sergei, who was entangled with political corruption and the mafia. So, they had no choice but to pretend to maintain an engagement.
But Hisha stubbornly spoke.
“I don’t care. I’ll kidnap you and take you somewhere no one can find us. Deep in the Amazon rainforest or some deserted island. After we have about three kids there, he’ll give up.”
Eugene doubted Hisha would abandon his family so easily, but she didn’t want to say anything more. Hisha seemed to feel the same. All that could be heard were the sounds of their w*t bodies colliding and their panting breaths.
“I’ll do it.”
Hisha breathed out something that could have been words or just hot air.
“All of it. Inside you, Eugene.”
Eugene squeezed his waist with her thighs as if urging him on. At that moment, she reached her cl*max, and Hisha followed right after. He grabbed her weak thighs and pulled her closer. He swelled deeply inside her and released everything. It felt like a blazing furnace in her belly.
The solid city in her mind collapsed with a roar. Everything was swept away in an instant, leaving nothing behind.

Eugene came to her senses. She was sprawled on top of Hisha. Hisha was tracing her shoulder blade with his fingertips. Even though he knew she had woken up, he gently stroked her soft back, which rose and fell slightly. Having showered before falling asleep, her skin had a fresh scent.
For a while, Eugene lay there, feeling the touch of their bare skin. She thought it would be nice if they could just melt into each other and become one.
“I want to go somewhere.”
When she murmured this, Hisha quietly asked.
“Where?”
“Anywhere. Just somewhere that’s not here.”
After a brief pause, Eugene added.
“Not the Amazon rainforest or a deserted island.”
Suddenly, as if making a decision, Hisha raised her.
“Get dressed.”
“Why?”
“Just get dressed.”
He seemed to have something in mind. So Eugene put on a simple dress, while Hisha, having no other clothes, had to put on a suit with a few missing buttons.
Hisha took Eugene to the terrace and held his hand to her in front of the railing.
“Come here.”
Eugene naturally wrapped her arms around Hisha. Holding her, Hisha climbed onto the railing and leaped down.
* * *
The streets of Rome, drenched in darkness, were eerily unrecognizable from their bustling daytime appearance. As they walked, Hisha muttered beside her.
“Is it because we’re in Rome that I feel like Gregory Peck taking out a princess?”
“What are you talking about?”
Eugene asked, puzzled.
Hisha looked back at her in disbelief.
“You don’t know ‘Roman Holiday’?”
“No.”
Hisha looked shocked, as if he couldn’t believe she didn’t know, and sighed deeply before muttering.
“It’s a world where romance is dead, really. It’s an old movie. My aunt liked old movies, so we used to watch them together. Let’s watch it together sometime.”
His face showed no doubt that there would be a ‘sometime’ for them.
Eugene didn’t say anything. As they walked, the street ended and the Spanish Steps came into view. It seemed like she was seeing such a quiet Spanish Steps for the first time.
The streetlights were still on, casting a dim glow under the navy blue sky. Looking up at the Spanish Steps, Eugene spoke.
“I’ve been to Rome dozens of times, but this is the first time I’ve walked here like this.”
“That’s because you haven’t seen ‘Roman Holiday.’”
Hisha said out of nowhere beside her. Eugene asked.
“What do you mean by that?”
“It means you’ve been living in a world where romance is dead.”
Eugene was taken aback.
“Is it that bad that I haven’t seen that movie?”
“Pretty much.”
His tone was so serious that Eugene chuckled. Hisha pointed to the steps.
“Shall we go up?”
Eugene nodded.
They slowly climbed the steps. Once they reached the top and looked down, Eugene murmured.
“It’s beautiful.”
At that moment, Hisha cleared his throat. Unconsciously, she turned to see him take out a small square case from his suit jacket’s inner pocket. Eugene stared at it in disbelief as Hisha opened the case in front of her.
“Marry me.”
Eugene stared at the ring inside the case. It was a simple platinum ring, but it was clear that it must have been quite a stretch for Hisha to buy it.
Hisha said.
“I’m not going to stay this age forever. Someday, I’ll be thirty-five. Probably much older than that.”
Eugene looked up at Hisha, her eyes as indifferent yet somehow sad as ever.
“No matter how long you live, the fact that I’m fifteen years older than you won’t change.”
“Don’t worry. My father is two thousand years older than my mother. Anyway.”
Then Hisha looked slightly embarrassed.
“Sorry. This is the best I can do right now. I thought about borrowing a few decades from Selena, but somehow that didn’t seem quite right…”
“Don’t tell me your part-time job was…”
Eugene said, half in disbelief, as Hisha scratched the back of his head.
“The money I saved was all spent hiring Ha-yeon’s team. Ha-yeon made a big deal out of it, saying this was practically volunteer work.”
Then, Hisha took Eugene’s hand and asked.
“Do you, Eugene Fuger-Dulloch, take me, Hisha Ivanov, as your husband?”
Eugene blinked in surprise.
“You want to get married right here?”
Hisha nodded firmly.
“Yes. I want to get married right now. The formality isn’t important. We can have a proper wedding ceremony later, but right now, I want to be your husband.”
Eugene looked at Hisha, who was holding her hand.
She never intended to fall in love with this young man who had jumped in front of her car. But love was the one emotion she couldn’t control. She could manage anger, sadness, and depression with willpower, but love seemed more like an intangible substance that existed around her, like oxygen or nitrogen.
In that she couldn’t control it, and that she couldn’t live without it.
Hisha took the ring from the case and slipped it onto Eugene’s finger. Eugene looked at the ring shining on her finger and murmured.
“I never thought I’d get married like this.”
“You thought it would be a grand affair at a hotel, with all the political and business bigwigs in attendance, right? Life’s boring if everything goes as planned.”
Hisha said mischievously.
It was true she never imagined getting married in such an unadorned way, with no one watching. But it was more accurate to say she never expected to fall in love and be swept away by fate, unable to resist the pull, as if she were drowning.
Hisha cupped Eugene’s cheek and whispered.
“I love you, Eugene.”
In the soft glow of the streetlights, Hisha’s affectionate smile was beautiful.
As their lips met, Eugene closed her eyes.
Juliet, fearing Romeo would leave upon hearing the morning lark, claimed it was not the lark but the nightingale singing. At this moment, Eugene wished this world would forever be a place where only the nightingale sings. She would have eradicated all larks if she could.
* * *
Feeling the sunlight on her eyelids, Eugene opened her eyes to see Hisha lying next to her in the hotel room, watching her. Eugene smiled.
“Why are you staring at me?”
Hisha, squinting against the sunlight, replied.
“Because I can’t believe this person is my wife.”
Eugene let out a long sigh.
“Your parents will freak out when they find out we’re married.”
Hisha shrugged.
“It’s okay. I’ll use my wish coupon to ask Selena to handle it.”
“Wish coupon? What’s that?”
“Well…”
After listening to Hisha’s explanation, Eugene raised an eyebrow.
“Isn’t that counterfeit fraud?”
“It’s not money, though?”
“The only thing that can move the CEO of ISLE Group is something with value comparable to money.”
Eugene pinched Hisha’s nose and then let go.
“Anyway, you always manage to cause trouble, Hisha Ivanov.”
Hisha took Eugene’s hand and kissed it.
“But if I hadn’t caused trouble, I wouldn’t have met you.”
His eyes were full of undisguised affection as he looked at Eugene.
“The best decision of my life was jumping in front of your car that day.”
Eugene chuckled.
“I found that extremely suspicious, by the way.”
“Suspicious?”
“Right after rumors spread that the virus was almost complete, you had an accident at just the right time. I don’t believe in coincidences much. And the accident victim was exactly my type? Too suspicious. It felt like someone had set the perfect trap.”
Hisha propped his chin with one hand and asked.
“So, knowing all that, you hired me anyway?”
“It was too tempting even knowing it was suspicious. I just couldn’t resist.”
Eugene gently stroked Hisha’s chin.
Even without knowing there was no virus, Hisha loved her. There were many smart or insightful men in the world, but Hisha was the only one who succeeded in seeing through to Eugene’s essence.
“I thought this innocent face was all an act.”
Eugene said, and Hisha leaned in closer to her.
“Innocent? I’m having very naughty thoughts right now.”
“How naughty?”
The low tone of her voice was full of intimacy. Sensing this, Hisha whispered as he leaned in.
“Very…”
Their lips met, and then Hisha whispered as he looked down at Eugene.
“I’m in trouble. I get aroused every time I see you.”
Eugene pulled him closer by his collar.
“Keep getting aroused.”
