Gloria’s cold demeanor made the body of her brother-in-law, Dale Dorazon, flinch. Dale rolled his eyes to one side and tried to avoid his sister-in-law’s eyes. Brie stared at Gloria for a few seconds without saying anything. Then the sound of Brie’s laughter came out of her mouth.

“We have nowhere else to go. I got evicted because I couldn’t pay the rent.”

As Brie raised her finger, one of the waitresses holding the child approached. Brie took over the child and placed it in front of Gloria’s face.

“Would you feel better if your only nephew was homeless? On this cold day?”

She wanted to yell at her older sister to come out, but she stopped when she saw her nephew’s face as she had never seen it before. 

The child was innocent. However, the words for the couple to come out simply did not come out of Gloria’s mouth anymore.

“Why can’t you pay the rent? You’re working as a station employee.”

“I’ve been fired. We are poor people who have nowhere to go now.”

Brie resigned because I believed Gloria. Brie pretended to be poor and looked like she was crying.

Deliberately placing the child on the cold floor, Brie knelt in the center of the dining room and pleaded with both hands up.
