When the Villains Unite - Chapter 4; Part 6
When I talked about the future, Bellamy spoke as if he didn’t care about his lost childhood.
I’ve been devoted to those two, so they aren’t going to throw me right away. It would be cruel.
Yet, he said I would be the noblest princess. It was flattering.
“Well, I’ve never thought that before, so…”
“Then, what do you want to do when we leave?”
I don’t know.
I just wanted Belle and Dami to grow well without being blackened while in confinement. I didn’t think about my future, but if I were to pick what I wanted to do…
“Shall I make friends? I’m still a princess, but I think I’m living in too much seclusion.”
“We won’t force you to do anything as a princess. Just do what you want. It doesn’t matter what it is.”
Maybe it’s just my mistake, but the Orca brothers have been very generous towards me since yesterday. Rather than forcing me, they said it was my right to do what I really wanted to do.
I haven’t had any communication with kids my age since I entered the novel. Now that I’m with the Orca brothers, I don’t feel lonely. I’m here, in this world, and there is no guarantee I can leave. So, it’s only natural that I adjust.
“No, it’s really because I want to.”
“If you say so, you should,” Damian agreed, nodding and smiling while he laid back in bed. He really looked like a pretty, gold cat.
“What’s wrong with both of you today? You’re acting as if you would listen to anything I say.”
“Why wouldn’t we listen to anything you say?”
What’s wrong with you?
I loosened Bellamy’s arms and turned around at his words to look him in the eyes.
“Don’t say that carelessly, brother. You sound like a pushover, really.”
Did I raise them to be too obedient? At this rate, if someone asks for a favor, I think they might gladly answer with a “yes.” I think they can solve any problem with their financial resources, no matter who, but since it’s my responsibility, that should never happen.
I was serious when I told him to not be a pushover, but he covered his mouth and closed his eyes as if he were amused.
“Yes, I see.”
“Do you promise? By the way, when can we leave the annex?”
Damian raised himself up at my question. I was watching what he was going to do, but then he picked me up and princess-carried me like Bellamy did yesterday.
Why are you so strong when you’re younger than me?
When I was suddenly lifted, I struggled, but he rubbed circles on my back as if he were trying to soothe a baby.
“Damian, what are you-”
“If you come and play with me, brother will clean up and come back soon. We can’t leave it to someone else.”
Are they saying that there should be no witnesses? Why? Did you kill someone?
Well, it was predictable that they would kill any man who prevented them from seeing the Count.
By the way, are they good at filtering their conversations? It won’t be good if someone hears about this…
“I had the servant who put him in the passage run away. He wouldn’t be reliable…”
“I shut his mouth with money. If he’s afraid of Orca, he’ll stay quiet.”
“Anyway, Rose, you just have to peacefully rest.”
Damian placed me back in bed and lifted the blankets over me. Bellamy looked at Damian and quietly walked out of the room.
Damian, who stared at the path his brother walked for a while, lay down next to me. He pulled me against him again, just like before.
Have I ever touched Damian like this before? He leaned his face into the side of my neck as if he were embarrassed by our current position.
“Sister, I really wanted to kill the Count yesterday.”
“… I know.”
“I held it in and didn’t kill him. I did a good job, right?”
Actually, I don’t care if the Count is dead or not…
He quietly held me in his arms as I told him that I was proud. I raised my hand and carefully stroked his hair. Damian purred, as if he were a cat, and even rubbed his head into my hand.
Cute. Who would think he could be a villain?
“I wish the three of us could live together forever like this.”
The words came out before I could stop them.
I’ve been thinking about it since yesterday. The handsome older and younger brothers, suddenly let down their walls and became affectionate. Don’t you think I should at least enjoy this with my own eyes?
Still, since they are the masters of the Duke and were born aristocrats, they must marry someone.
Suddenly, I felt a throbbing pain as the area around my heart ached. It hurt more when I imagined them smiling, side by side, with another aristocratic beauty beside them.
Is it because of the cold water yesterday? There seems to be a problem with my heart. When Bellamy comes back, I will ask him if he can use healing magic on me.
