To My Husband's Mistress - Chapter 2 Part 4
“I know those eyes well.”
In response to his words, Leticia instinctively lowered her eyelashes. She didn’t want to reveal her wicked resolve that had fallen into the abyss.
“Are you perhaps having foolish thoughts?”
No, has he already found out?
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“For example, a bloody plan to stab your husband and his mistress, and then die together. That’s the kind of eyes you have.”
Sionian skillfully pried open her inner thoughts. She disliked his attitude of thinking he knew everything about her.
“And what if I am? Are you planning to stop me?”
Leticia asked calmly, not wanting to get agitated. The man in front of her didn’t seem like the kind of person who liked to meddle in other people’s business, even if it was just empty words.
So, she had no reason to hold back. Even if he did not want to be annoyed, he would let her do whatever she wanted…
“Are you going to stop me?”
“Huh? Why would I?”
“Ah. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I’m going to stop the revenge itself.”
The man, who declared that he would interfere in her life without even blinking, laughed.
“There is a more cunning way. You and I, both of us, will be satisfied to the point of madness.”
“Could you please explain more?”
She didn’t want to get involved any further, but her ears were intrigued.
“If you do as I say, revenge is guaranteed, and you will gain a new life. You will regain everything you lost: wealth, honor, and even beauty. Those who once tried to destroy you will want to gouge out their own eyes when they see you.”
“Is that really possible?”
“I can assure you that it is better than any reckless and radical plan you have.”
Sionian lowered his eyes and whispered ominously. His coldly smiling face was like that of a demon wearing an angel’s mask, corrupting people.
Leticia listened, mesmerized, and then snapped out of it.
“…But there must be a price, right?”
“A price? Of course there is.”
Without a doubt. Sionian laughed arrogantly.
“The eternal death of Leticia Violet Winchester.”

“Are you saying you can change my face to someone else’s?”
Leticia was hesitant after hearing the explanation.
“It’s not just about appearance. I will give you a new status and life. In return…”
In return, what? Leticia held her breath and waited for his words.
“To kiss the soles of my feet.”
Is he in his right mind? That’s what Leticia thought, but no words came out when their eyes met.
If there is such a thing as a natural ruler, the man in front of her was undoubtedly one. She felt captivated by his gaze alone.
“In the Sacred Empire of Westeros, when pledging unwavering loyalty, there is a custom of kissing the feet of the noble. It signifies dedicating one’s remaining life entirely to the other.”
She had heard about it before. Even though it was a continent across the sea, rumors tend to spread little by little.
The ancestors of the Westeros nobles were said to be half-human and half-god. They used their powers to receive a ‘special’ oath from their subordinates. This tradition remained and became a kind of royal tradition.
In the end, Sionian’s demand was straightforward. It was a collateral for her remaining life to be bound to him.
‘Did he save me for this purpose?’
Leticia felt overwhelmed.
It must have been a coincidence that they found her collapsed by the riverside. But their ‘choice’ to save her was thoroughly calculated.
She couldn’t know what Sionian was trying to make her do or how he would use her. But…
‘It might not matter.’
It seems that he will fulfill what she desires most as a reward.
“…It’s revenge. You will definitely make it happen, right?”
“Yes. But once you belong to me, there’s no going back.”
The eyes of the man who was smiling warned her. Once she became his, there was no turning back.
“Leticia Violet Winchester will disappear from this world forever.”
It wasn’t so bad. She had already planned to stab her enemies and die herself.
Surely, as a chosen one blessed by the gods, he wouldn’t betray her. And even if he did, it would just be another name added to the long list of revenge.
“Okay. I swear.”
As she stood up, she felt a sharp pain from her wounds, but Leticia thought it was nothing compared to the pain that tore her heart apart.
Leticia willingly knelt before him. With the reverence one would have in front of an almighty god, she slowly kissed Sionian’s feet.
There was no overwhelming sense of disgust as one might expect. But when she raised her head and looked at him, Leticia was shocked to the core.
“Your hand…!!”
A faint pattern on Sionian’s left hand began to glow. It was definitely not there before.
‘What is that?’
Before she could even ask, he reached out and touched Leticia’s forehead. Startled, her widened eyes met his cold gaze in the air.
—Leticia Violet Winchester. From now until your life is exhausted, you will serve me as a subordinate and obey my command.
A strange voice echoed in her mind.
The spot where his hand touched her forehead felt as if it were on fire. It wasn’t agonizing, but it was a sensation that seemed to penetrate her soul through her skin.
Swoosh—
As Sionian removed his hand, the peculiar heat disappeared as well. Leticia touched her forehead in a bewildered expression.
What was that just now? Did she open her eyes and dream?
“Welcome. We have gained another companion in slavery.”
Langry clapped his hands from the side.
“It’s just a formal ceremony, right?”
“For the other nobles, but not for the ‘Sol’.”
So, this happened to her. Leticia tightly closed her eyes upon hearing Langry’s words.
Just like the ancestors of the Westeros nobles, Sionian was a ‘Sol’ who knew how to use his power. Therefore, her oath of obedience to him was officially established.
Leticia had bound herself to him in the name of the gods.
“You were warned, weren’t you?”
Sionian laughed gracefully and fiercely, like a satisfied predator.
“It cannot be undone.”
Although she had no intention of betraying him, she felt strangely disadvantaged. Leticia slumped her shoulders and weakly asked her question.
“Now, can you tell me? What is it that you want me to do?”
Since the oath had been fulfilled, Sionian no longer hid anything.
“There is a culprit in Northland who has killed someone dear to me. To find that person, I need someone familiar with the social circles there and who can gather information from the people.”
That person was Leticia.
“But doesn’t everyone know me? I even attended the wedding….”
Ah, so that’s what he meant by changing her face? Along with her new status.
“Yes. Forget about Leticia Violet Winchester. I will make you completely reborn as a different woman.”
