To My Husband's Mistress - Chapter 2 Part 1
Chapter 2
Sionian, who lightly touched her peak with his fingertips, murmured.
“Is it because it hurts? Or because it’s cold? Or is it because I touched it?”
Emotionally unfamiliar with the man who was close by, it was natural for Leticia to feel tense.
She glared at him with embarrassment and shame.
But the moment her eyes met Sionian’s, she couldn’t utter a word.
They were cold eyes. An annoyance that must be dealt with. Sionian’s eyes, as he stopped her bleeding, were neither more nor less than that.
Well, even her own husband, who lived under the same roof, had no desire for her body. Who would show interest?
Leticia’s self-esteem had already been torn to shreds. She no longer had the strength to raise her arms to defend herself, so she silently closed her eyes.
“My word. Lord Sion!”
At that moment, someone entered through the half-opened door. It was a young man holding a tray of water and a towel.
“How long has it been since the patient woke up, and you’re already tormenting her?”
The man, seeing Leticia’s miserable expression, protested as if scolding.
“Tell me what real torment is?”
Sionian asked. His hand was still pressing Leticia’s br*ast like kneading dough, and the man who saw this was startled.
“Lord Sion! Your, your hand…!!”
“Hand? Ah.”
Finally, Sionian completely let go of his hand. It was an attitude as if he didn’t understand why he was making such a fuss about it.
Leticia was about to say something, unable to bear it any longer.
Suddenly, the bed she was lying on shook violently, causing the room to tremble.
“Oh my!!”
Caught off guard by the unexpected situation, Leticia was bewildered. She naturally thought she was on solid ground, but the floor was moving. Could it be an earthquake?!
“What, what is it? What’s happening?”
Only after asking did she finally realize. She had inadvertently half-pulled Sionian’s neck.
“What a lonely soul you must be. It seems your husband is quite neglectful.”
“How can you say such things…!!”
“I would like to fulfill your expectations, but unfortunately, you’re not my type.”
The handsome face in front of her pouted. Despite his sarcastic words, he kissed Leticia’s forehead as if sympathizing.
It was a cruel attitude, as if playing with a toy. Already at the lowest point of her self-esteem, it was the worst mockery for Leticia.
Her stiffened arm, trembling like a spasm, pulled away from Sionian’s neck.
“Langry.”
Sionian, who got up from the bed as if waiting for her to let go, called for his subordinate.
“Explain it to that woman. It seems she has a lot of questions.”
The man who flicked his chin at her walked out with a nonchalant stride.
“I apologize for this, Lady.”
Langry scratched his cheek and then covered her body with a sheet. He glanced outside the door, indicating the departure of his superior who had just left.
“He’s not a bad person, just a bit twisted.”
“It’s alright. I can’t blame a benefactor in such a helpless situation.”
Leticia, who finally regained her composure, retorted weakly.
“More importantly, what happened?”
Finally, it was time to hear the whole story of this situation.
“First, let me introduce myself properly. I am Langry Maha Shan.”
Langry, with one hand on his chest, revealed his name. As Sionian’s subordinate, he had a very exotic appearance.
Tall stature, dark skin like chocolate, and contrasting long silver hair that was beautiful and mysterious. And what about the monocle on one eye?
“What is your ladyship’s name?”
In this situation, Leticia had no choice but to comply.
“Leticia Violet… Winchester.”
It was uncomfortable to have to use her husband’s surname, who had abandoned her.
Does Aster know that his beloved secret mistress tried to kill her? Or…
‘Is he also an accomplice?’
Thinking that way made her feel like she was going crazy. Leticia tried to clear her mind and asked, looking at the swaying floor.
“Where are we?”
“We are inside a passenger ship in Westeros. You were startled by the high waves, weren’t you? You probably didn’t feel it because you were asleep for a few days.”
Rather than the waves, she was more distracted by the man that was next to her. With such a sensual beauty lying in bed together, who would care about the waves?
“Now, take a look.”
Langry, with a mischievous smile, pulled back the curtains of the window. Finally, the light poured in brightly, revealing the blue waves spread out outside.
She hadn’t realized how luxurious the interior was. This was the cabin.
‘Moreover, it’s a ship bound for Westeros!’
The sacred empire that one must travel far west from the Northlands where she lives, that place is Westeros.
“Ah, rest assured that we are not heading towards the mainland,” Langry added kindly.
“I heard that you have already met His Highness before. Is that correct?”
“Yes.”
“You catch on quickly. His Highness and I had some business in the Northlands, so we visited there. While exploring the surroundings at this port, we happened to come across a lady who was washed ashore by the river.”
At first, Langry thought she was dead. His expression seemed to lighten up, perhaps because the grimness of the initial discovery had faded.
“How is your body feeling?”
“I’m fine. Thank you so much for saving me.”
Leticia replied, bowing her head within the limits of her injuries. Langry, taken aback by the polite expression of gratitude, shook his hand.
“Oh, you mustn’t move yet. It was fortunate that His Highness was there. If not…”
Langry stopped himself from saying more and smoothly changed the subject.
“In any case, it’s a relief that you’ve woken up. If you’re feeling well, shall I arrange for transportation to your home?”
“Pardon?”
“We’ll send a message to Marquis Winchester.”
Langry suggested that if she wished, he could also send a message to House Violet, her family.
From his perspective, it was a natural thing to do. After all, they had saved a lady in a critical condition, and it would be a cause for great concern in a ‘normal’ situation.
‘But…’
Leticia’s words were stuck in her throat this time. How could she explain her situation to this foreigner, who knew nothing about her circumstances?
The fact that she had been abandoned by her husband and her family.
“I see. So that’s how things turned out.”
“Pardon?”
Langry said meaningfully as he looked at Leticia, who couldn’t speak up.
“I apologize in advance for what I’m about to say. It may come across as quite rude or overly personal to a lady like yourself.”
Langry’s smile remained kind, but his tone showed no hesitation.
“Did I just inquire about sending a message to your home? I apologize, but in truth, the message has already been sent two days ago.”
“What…?”
“Lady, you have been on the brink of death for nearly a week. During that time, our people have already visited both House Violet and House Winchester.”
