The Queen of Villains - Chapter 12 part 1
Johann didn’t say anything the first two times he fell in their three-legged race practice.
But when he fell again on the third time, he couldn’t take it anymore.
“Emily, it’s not a game you can win just because you’re fast at running. On the contrary, I think people who are faster are more likely to fall.”
Unable to keep pace with Johann’s stride, the two of them kept falling together as Emily kept trying to get ahead.
“I’m sorry, Johann.”
Emily helped Johann up with a sullen expression.
“It’s important not to fall, Even if we have to run slowly, ”
No matter how much Johann liked Emily, his smile was bound to disappear when he fell for the third time.
“Okay, I’ll keep that in mind.”
Emily made up her mind once more and clenched her fists. She couldn’t leave a stain, that was winning last place, on her reputation.
“I think it’s better to put our arms around each other’s shoulders to work together.”
Johann immediately suggested as if he had been waiting for those words.
“That makes sense. It will also make it easier to match our strides,” Emily agreed.
“You can put your hands around my waist.”
“Well, I can’t help it since I’m still short.”
Unbeknownst to Emily, Johann glanced at the second-floor window and gave a mischievous smile. Killian, who had been watching them, frowned when his eyes met Johann’s.
How much time had passed? Now that their breathing was more in sync and they no longer fell, the training was finally over.
“Oh my God, Johann!”
Startled, Emily knelt down in front of Johann.
“Your knee is bleeding! Why didn’t you say you were hurt?”
The blood from his knees from his repeated falls was seeping through his pants little by little and staining them.
Johann hesitated and opened his mouth.
“If I say I’m hurt, then I won’t be able to spend more time with you.”
Upon hearing that, Emily couldn’t reproach Johann any further.
“If you get hurt, I won’t go anywhere and I’ll take care of you, so tell me right away from now on.”
“Okay, I got it.”
Emily lifted Johann’s pants and took out a handkerchief from her pocket to wipe away the blood.
“The bleeding seems to have stopped to some extent, so let’s go back to the mansion and disinfect it.”
“Thank you. Can I keep the handkerchief?”
“Sure, I have plenty.”
When Johann looked up at the second-floor window once more, the window curtain abruptly closed with a rough sound.
‘It’s so fun to tease Uncle, isn’t it?’
Johann held back his burst of laughter and took Emily’s hand and went up to the mansion.

This is the story of how Killian ended up stealing the handkerchief.
When Killian, who had been to headquarters, returned to the mansion after work, Johann was waiting for him in the dark hallway.
“Why are you standing there like that?”
“I’ve been waiting for you, Uncle.”
Johann emerged silently from the darkness, unlike the movements of an ordinary child.
“It’s a big deal, you waiting for me.”
“ I know, right. I also wanted to go to sleep soon, but because of someone…”
‘Shit, it’s already been discovered.’
In fact, Killian wasn’t trying to steal the handkerchief from the beginning either.
He had found that Johann had left a handkerchief in the study, and had unknowingly put it in his arms the moment he realized it belonged to Emily.
“What are you talking about?”
“Please return my handkerchief.”
Killian deftly pretended not to.
“I don’t know what you mean by handkerchief.”
Killian kept the handkerchief in a drawer at headquarters, with a lock on it. When he had an important event, he took the handkerchief, he felt at ease as if it were a talisman.
Johann puffed up his cheeks in annoyance at Killian’s impudence.
“I see how it is.”
“If you do something unnecessary, you’ll get into trouble.”
Killian said with a commanding tone.
“Hmph!”
After glaring at Killian one last time, Johann returned to his room.
Once Johann had entered his room, a small sigh escaped Killian’s lips.
‘Haah, what the hell am I doing?’
Even in his own mind, Killian was acting too childishly towards Johann.
Meanwhile, Johann, who returned to his room after parting ways with Killian, collapsed on the bed with exasperation.
Aside from the fact that teasing his uncle was fun, Johann liked being doted on by Emily.
So, the first handkerchief given by Emily is in itself a precious thing to Johann.
“Surely the handkerchief was stolen by my uncle.”
Johann spent the night contemplating how to take revenge on Killian.
The next day, Johann, who was sitting on the sofa in the hall on the first floor with wide eyes, noticed Chili holding a letter and going upstairs to the second floor.
“Chili!”
“Yes?”
Chili looked around with an uneasy look. But she couldn’t find anyone who could save her.
“What’s going on?”
Reluctantly, she responded to Johann’s words.
“That’s a letter for Emily, right?”
“Yes, so?”
“I’ll take it to Emily for you.”
Chili shook her head immediately without a moment of hesitation.
“No way.”
“Why?”
“If you lose it, I have to take responsibility.”
“Do I look like an idiot who loses something like that?”
“That’s not true, but I don’t think you’re the kind of person who’d help me for no reason.”
Johann’s eyes instantly turned red at those heartless words.
“Chili. I am really hurt.”
“Hey, why are you crying?”
Chili didn’t have that many dealings with Johann. If it had been the butler Alvin or Cézanne or Roxy, they would never have succumbed to such tears.
“I really want to be liked by Emily, can’t you help me big sister?
Johann played his rare “big sister” card. Defenseless against the tears and cuteness of a child, Chili easily gave in.
“Fine, I’ll let you deliver it.”
“Thank you, there’s no one like you, big sister.”
“But if any problems arise, I’ll tell the butler your name.”
“Okay, I understand.”
Before handing the stack of letters to Johann, Chili once again cautioned him.
“I’ll check if the letters were delivered well.”
“Ah, I know.”
Johann took a bunch of letters from Chili’s hand with a straight face as if he hadn’t cried. Soon Johann brought a package of letters into the room and carefully examined each of the outer envelopes.
“Wefer’s party, young noble gathering, Royal Ascot event…These are all useless letters.”
It was when Johann, unable to hide his disappointment, gathered the rest of the letters to one side. A pink envelope fell.
“What’s this?”
Johann had a keen sense. The faint scent of roses emanating from the pink envelope made it look like a love letter.
In Bancent, which was very open about sex and sexuality, it was not uncommon for even married people to openly receive love letters. So it wasn’t that big a deal.
But the sender’s name was very familiar to Johann.
“Yes, this is it!”
A mischievous grin formed on Johann’s face.
