Runaway Consort - Chapter 29

Chapter 29
Running Away from the Marriage
Wow, this dead man! He said that he would marry me in three days! Qi Shui’er looked at the King, drenched like a chicken falling into the soup. She wanted to go and kill him, but her father’s eyes were staring at her with fire. Qi Shui’er cowered and tried to sneak back to her room.
“Xianxian!” General Qi yelled.
Qi Shui’er was so scared that she stood still without daring to move. God, she was not afraid of the world but of her father, the General.
“Kneel for your punishment.” General Qi took a washing board on the family law platform and threw it to the ground.
Oh, good for you, Prince Yunzhi! I can’t be at peace with you. Qi Shui’er knelt on that washboard. Cry! I was in so much pain even before I married you. You, dead man, want to marry me? You thought wrong. Even with the emperor’s blessing, I will still escape. I’ve decided to run away from the wedding! Qi Shui’er touched her aching knees.
“No slacking off.” General Qi yelled. This little girl is not only naughty. She even pushes the King into the water! Once he remembered the King said he would come to the house in three days, General Qi hurriedly went to prepare.
It didn’t take long for the red ribbons to be raised into the house, creating a joyful atmosphere. Qi Shui’er knelt alone on the washboard, watching the servants being busy, and began to panic. I will have to escape. If I don’t, I have to marry that dead man.
Qi Shui’er knelt for several hours and fell asleep on the washboard. When she woke up, it was dark. Her father was too busy to ask her to rest! Oh! Poor me!
Ah, no one was around. It would be a good time for me to escape! Qi Shui’er instantly revived. She tried to stand up, but her legs were numb from kneeling. Aiya, the pain is killing me. Qi Shui’er wrinkled her face. The dead stinky King, I’ll remember! I’ll put this down on your account.
Qi Shui’er rubbed her knees for a while and stood up. She returned to her room quietly, wrapped something in a cloth, and climbed out from the rear courtyard’s wall.
It was almost dawn, and Qi Shui’er did not know where to escape. Then, she saw a person taking excrement in the dark. That excrement cart smelled unbearable.
“Who? Who is there?” The old man who took the excrement asked.
“Hey, it’s me. I’m here to discard the excrement,” Qishui’er smiled. Dang it, this old man thought I was a thief, right?
“Why are you being sneaky when you discard the excrement?” The old man asked.
“Hehe, nothing. It looks like the cart is full, so I want to help you push.” Qi Shuler said. Omg! Yell again, so the people in the house run out to catch me back!
The old man stopped talking. Qi Shui’er helped push his smelly cart.
When the cart arrived at the Yanmi Pavilion, the old man parked it at the back door and said, “I have to go inside and take out the excrement.”
Qi Shui’er said: “Hey, I’ll go in and help you.” I will run away later. I won’t take the excrement with you!
The old man did not reply. He gently tapped the door, and an old woman came to open the door.
Qi Shui’er followed inside. The old man skillfully in and out of the main rooms to take the excrement, but Qi Shui’er only muddles through and scurries around like a fish.
