14. If You Want to Use… (2)
Translated by: ???
Passing through the bedroom and private study to the reception room, Eve sighed inwardly as she saw the servant setting down the teacups and saucers on the table.
“It’s been quite an eventful day. I didn’t expect a sudden shower. Have you been waiting long?”
“Please don’t worry. I’ve just come out as well.”
The two waited until the teacups were filled, and only after the servant had finished serving the tea did they slowly begin to talk. The topic of conversation was the capricious weather.
While discussing how the clear sky had led them to let their guard down, Eve covertly observed the guest’s appearance and attire.
Due to the unexpected downpour, the man couldn’t continue wearing his soaked clothes and seemed to have changed into new ones. However, even the largest size of clothing that the servants of the mansion could prepare did not fit him well, and the fabric of the clothing stretched taut whenever he moved.
Especially the chest area, where about three buttons were undone beneath the vest, wouldn’t close properly. Considering how he usually buttoned his formal attire all the way to the top, it wasn’t hard to guess that this look was not for style but out of necessity, as the clothes didn’t fit properly.
His chest and arms seemed to fit tightly, but the waist looked quite loose. Eve stifled a giggle as she imagined the triangular shape forming over the man’s body.
“The servants are drying your clothes, so why don’t you have a cup of tea with me in the meantime? There’s still much to ask.”
“……Understood.”
“Did you hear about the hunting party hosted by Crown Prince Edward a while ago?”
“Yes. Fortunately, the Little Count wasn’t seriously injured.”
“Did you hear the story that I shattered a teacup at that time?”
“……The teacup, you say?”
Eve picked up a teaspoon that was placed on one side and slowly stirred her tea. Golden rays of light danced around the small spoon.
“I broke it in half like this.”
Seeing Eve’s proud expression, Castel unconsciously raised his hand and rubbed the edge of his mouth with his thumb to stifle a laugh that was threatening to escape.
“You can just laugh.”
“……No.”
“But putting aura on a teaspoon seems to be even more difficult. Maybe because of its small size……?”
As Eve said, the clusters of light covering the teaspoon didn’t last long and quickly faded away. Castel blinked his eyes a couple of times and then took the teaspoon from Eve, covering it with aura just as she had done.
If there had been someone skilled in swordsmanship present, they might have accused it of being a waste of aura, but in any case, there were only the two of them in the room.
Eve looked at Castel with shining eyes as he effortlessly and steadily put the aura on.
“Oh. Can I take a look for a moment……?”
“Go ahead.”
When Castel readily agreed, Eve moved to sit close beside him, as if she had been waiting for his permission. Then, Eve’s fingers encircled the inside of Castel’s wrist, wrapping around it.
Feeling Castel’s unique intangible energy flowing within him, Eve focused on following the sensation of him moving the aura.
A refreshing sound of rain wetting the ground came from outside the window. Castel slowly rolled his eyes, following the warm temperature probing inside his wrist.
The dampness hadn’t completely dried, leaving Eve’s hair moist and flowing down beside her face, not yet tied up.
The sound of gentle inhalation and exhalation, along with the faint tickle of lavender scent at the tip of his nose, gradually consumed his nerves.
With her eyes down, focused on the flow of aura, Eve suddenly looked up when she felt the movement of energy stop, making eye contact with the man.
Thump. Castel stopped all movement as if broken. It was as if time had stopped, and the man seemed to have forgotten even to breathe.
In the silence, only the sound of rain tapping the window filled the air. Among the two, Castel was the first to look away.
“I’m sorry. I’ll get up first.”
“Huh.”
Before she could say anything, Castel got up. Taken aback by the sudden movement, Eve unconsciously reached out and grabbed the man’s hand.
“You’re leaving already? It’s still raining heavily.”
The man seemed rooted to the floor as if his feet were glued, unable to move. All she did was grab his hand, but he couldn’t shake it off. Eve must have felt the trembling touch of his fingers.
A flush of heat rose, reddening the back of his neck, a sight clearly captured in her eyes. Eve found it amazing that the man could stubbornly keep a straight face amidst all this.
The two were silent for a long while. Eve stubbornly waited for the man who couldn’t muster the courage to speak what had risen to the tip of his throat.
Finally, Castel broke the dreadful silence, confessing a guilt he had long buried deep within himself.
“……The touch of that day, no…… I can’t forget the feel of the footsteps.”
“Oh my.”
“I absolutely…… don’t have the confidence to see the lady with such a shameless heart.”
It’s all because I’m wicked, the man added in a small voice, finishing his painful confession and barely letting out a deep breath.
Eve quickly noticed his guilt flowing out like a sigh and lifted the end of her lips in a smirk.
“If you can’t forget it, how about erasing it with a stronger memory?”
A strong force pulled Castel. The man’s body, which had been standing awkwardly, collapsed helplessly into the chair, and Eve quickly climbed on top of him and sat down like a squirrel.
Eve, who had climbed up on his thighs, faced Castel and trapped the man between her hands holding the backrest of the armchair. Castel swallowed dryly, feeling the woman’s gaze looking down at him, seemingly glaring with intense heat, like that of a carnivorous animal.
This man was the type who was weak to domination from above. Eve became a predator that picked tender flesh and sank her teeth into it, dribbling venom into the man’s lips.
Eve leaned in without hesitation and bit the man’s lower lip with her teeth. A sharp pain came first, but Castel was soon swayed this way and that under her breath, without time to come to his senses, by the skilled movement of her tongue coming into his mouth.
“Ha, huu……”
A man with monster-like stamina, who seemed like he wouldn’t get tired even after turning around the training ground twenty times, exhaled roughly just from a deep kiss where tongues mingled. Eve took her hands to the man’s ears and covered them. The sound of his escaping breath and the wet, squelching noise of flesh being squashed rang in Castel’s head like thunder.
Not long after, Eve fell away from Castel’s lips, gently bit her reddened lower lip as if blood had rushed to it, and then trailed her lips down his jawline. The unfamiliar sensation of her teeth biting his earlobes and thin flesh on his neck, sucking and kissing, made Castel tremble with a fear-like excitement.
Eve, who had felt a significant change in one thigh on which she sat, finally couldn’t help but laugh and opened one hand as if to breathe life into it, whispering softly.
“The seat is quite uncomfortable. Did you perhaps put something in your pants?”
“I’m— sorry……”
“Hahaha, there’s nothing to be sorry for.”
Castel turned his eyes towards Eve, turning his neck. Finally, he realized with a sharp gleam in his eyes that he was terribly fascinated by this woman looking at him. However, he himself did not even know the origin of his emotions.
As if under a spell. As if giving his heart to her was something that should just naturally happen.
He couldn’t find the reason at all. In the face of an effect without a cause, Castel was confused.
“Do you want more praise?”
A gentle voice struck the man’s ear like a bead for a moment. Along with the languid speech, a realization came like lightning, and the man wondered if this wasn’t something to be called fate. If such a thing was fate, then a lowly human could only conform in front of divine guidance. Castel concluded his prolonged thoughts, and, as if bewitched, slowly nodded his head.
Elated, Eve took Castel’s hand and went into the bedroom connected beyond the reception room and the study. The moment they crossed the boundary, the man tightly closed his eyes without Eve noticing. There was no turning back now.
“You can’t back out now. You know that, right?”
“……I know.”
Eve drove in the wedge at just the right time. The man barely nodded his head, and Eve commanded, her face showing that she was absolutely thrilled.
“Then, undress.”
