Han Seung-hoo, with an unbelieving look, stared at Arvani and eventually let out a weak laugh. 

“Seung-hoo, could you bring the detoxifier we made earlier from inside?”

“…Alright.”

Han Seung-hoo took a long breath and walked back into the house.

Meanwhile, I continued to slowly stroke Arvani’s head. Arvani, whose head I was petting, fluttered its wings gently in response.

Then, it turned its body to show me its back.

“Do you want me to ride?”

Arvani nodded vigorously, blinking its big eyes.

‘Even though it became a pet in the system, can I trust a dangerous monster like the hatchling?’

As I hesitated, Arvani urged me impatiently as if to say why am I hesitating. Kkyu kkyu!

Well, it should be okay to trust. There’s no harm in cuteness.

After silently concluding, I stroked Arvani’s head a couple more times.

Arvani nodded energetically as if to say it’s okay. Seeing its tail swaying gently, I couldn’t help but think that if I ever went out of the gate, I should bring a special beef just for Arvani.

After giving Arvani’s back a final pat, I confidently climbed onto it. Despite being a hatchling, it was the size of a small car, and just getting on its back raised my sight quite high.

While I, who hadn’t ridden any animals before, awkwardly looked around, Han Seung-hoo approached with his tongue out, holding a bag containing the detoxifier.

“Here you go.”

“Oh, Arvani says you can ride too. Arvani, that is his name.” 

I introduced Arvani to Han Seung-hoo while patting its head. Han Seung-hoo’s expression wasn’t great, but I understood. After all, Arvani had attacked him before.

Even so, I hoped they could get along now. When I shook hands with Han Seung-hoo and urged him to ride, he looked Arvani up and down.

“…I don’t think I need to go.”

“You probably want to stay at my place more, right? If so, you should get along with this one too.”

“Haah.”

Now that he had discarded pretense in front of me, Han Seung-hoo put his hand on his forehead and let out a long sigh. I reached out my hand to him.

“I won’t make you ride next time.”

Han Seung-hoo hesitated for a moment, then cautiously climbed onto Arvani’s back, holding my hand. Once Han Seung-hoo was settled, Arvani flapped its wings a couple of times and soared into the sky.

Even though we were inside the gate, the vast expanse of space was captivating. The sensation of the cold air touching my face, breaking into tiny fragments, felt like something easy to get addicted to. As we ascended higher into the sky, the connection with Arvani felt stronger, more like sharing a bond with a friend than just an owner and a pet.

“…This is nice. Arvani, go to the place where the cobra is. Just make sure to fly high enough to avoid the poison!”

Kkyuaaang!

Arvani roared. It sounded cute to me, but judging from the groans coming from behind, it seemed like the sound was different for Han Seung-hoo.

Arvani vigorously flapped its wings and swiftly arrived high above the area where the cobra was. 

“Seung-hoo, can you spray that like mist?”

“…Even if it’s impossible, I have to make it possible.”

“That’s great!”

Han Seung-hoo closed his eyes and gathered mana energy in his hands. A yellow light bead appeared, and as the basket of detoxifiers was slowly absorbed into the light bead, Han Seung-hoo directed it toward the area above the cobra.

And then, shwaaa!

The yellow light bead shattered into small pieces, and the detoxifier inside was sprayed like mist. It was a truly beautiful sight. After confirming that Jung Tae-il was dealing with the cobra, I gently stroked Arvani’s neck.

“Thanks, Arvani, really.”

Arvani responded by shaking its head slightly. Han Seung-hoo, who was behind me, also seemed to appreciate it. He groaned when he heard Arvani’s sound, different from how I heard it.

Arvani flapped its wings one last time, and we descended slowly, landing back in the yard. 

Peace seemed to be restored once again.

Returning home with Arvani, Jung Tae-il, and Cha Jae-joon were already waiting in front of the entrance. When Jung Tae-il saw Arvani, his expression initially soured, but upon noticing Han Seung-hoo behind me, he quickly softened.

Next to him, Cha Jae-joon, being the crazy guy he was, shook my hand with enthusiasm. 

“Wow! What a fantastic hatchling!”

“…”

“Isn’t that right, Mr. Jung Tae-il?”

“…”

“How long are you going to ignore me? But still, we managed to catch the cobra together, right?”

“Keep it down, will you?”

I didn’t know when they had become friends, but Cha Jae-joon was standing next to Jung Tae-il, chatting away as if we were all buddies. Jung Tae-il seemed irritated by him, but upon seeing Han Seung-hoo behind me, his expression softened.

Seeing the situation, Han Seung-hoo approached and extended his hand. 

“That’s the style Jung Tae-il hates the most. The kid who talks loudly.”

“Is that so?”

“Of course, I don’t like people who talk loudly either. Grab my hand and come down, Sister.”

With an expression of disgust, Han Seung-hoo quickly shook my hand, urging me to come down. I grabbed his hand, and we descended from Arvani together.

“Well, sister.”

“Yeah?”

“Are those two coming inside as well? I hope not.”

“I’ll think about it.”

“I don’t like it.”

“It’s my house, Seung-hoo.”

Disappointed, Han Seung-hoo lowered his gaze slightly, looking like he wanted to say something more. 

It was a sudden change, but his sulking expression seemed quite adorable.

I stood in front of Jung Tae-il and Cha Jae-joon. Han Seung-hoo was behind me, providing an unexpected sense of reassurance. I straightened my back and spoke.

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Jung Tae-il, and Mr. Cha Jae-joon. I’m Seo Yeon-oh.”

“…Let me start by thanking you for your help. Thanks to you, I was able to handle it without injury.” 

“Oh, please. If Mr. Jung Tae-il hadn’t handled it, I would have been in trouble too.”

“Uh, I also helped. Ms. Yeon-oh.”

“Of course, Mr. Cha Jae-joon also provided significant assistance.”

Despite his crazy behavior, I couldn’t deny that he had been helpful. It was a bit disappointing that I hadn’t seen him wield the ‘Ego Sword,’ but…

“Since we can’t talk in the yard forever…”

“Can we go in?”

I quickly opened the quest window. I wanted to make sure they entered willingly rather than being treated as intruders.

If they did enter that way, I would feel sorry, but Jung Tae-il and Cha Jae-joon were guests in my yard. I couldn’t help that they felt that way.

In conclusion, Cha Jae-joon and Jung Tae-il could enter my house without any issues. After carefully examining the quest window again, if they were designated as guests in advance, Jung Tae-il and Cha Jae-joon were not considered intruders. They could step into my comfortable abode with my permission.

Seeing the system window that Cha Jae-joon and Jung Tae-il had entered my space without any issues, they seemed surprised, as if they had entered another gate within the gate. And I, looking at the system window in front of me, couldn’t help but feel a bit bitter.

From the beginning, they were normal visitors, unlike Han Seung-hoo who intruded. Besides, they had gone through the trouble of defeating the cobra, so it was appropriate to treat them hospitably.

‘But how did my life end up like this?’

While inwardly sighing, I continued to wear a friendly smile, offering a warm reception to Jung Tae-il and Cha Jae-joon. After setting them on the living room sofa, I headed to the kitchen.

He pouted cutely, lips sticking out like a little prince throwing a tantrum.
