Chapter 6.1
Beg Master Xie to Redress My Father’s Injustice Case!
These words made Luo Wanqing freeze, and then they were drowned by the rain of fists.
Luo Wanqing was dumbfounded, subconsciously holding her head and no longer daring to move. Seeing her being surrounded and beaten, Liu Xiniang kicked those women one by one and pulled her out of the crowd while shouting: ”Hit them! Don’t stop! Fight randomly with your eyes closed!”
Luo Wanqing was reminded of this and didn’t care anymore. She closed her eyes and pounded frantically, not knowing whether she hit people or not. With too many people around, coming and going, Luo Wanqing didn’t know whose she hit. She only heard someone shout vaguely: “Do not touch my daughter!”
Then, she heard Yao Zelan and Su Hui’s screams and curses. They seemed to have joined the fray.
The surrounding people were; ‘You punch, and I claw,’ ‘You kick me, and I pinch you.’ The fight lasted for an unknown period before the jailer bellowed, “Stop!”
After that, Luo Wanqing finally felt emptiness around her. But she didn’t dare to stop. She was afraid that as soon as she stopped, someone would hit her and that she wouldn’t be able to return the favor. So she continued to punch and kick madly!
Liu Xiniang pressed down on her and shouted, “Stop fighting!”
Liu Xiniang’s strength was potent, and the moment she pressed down on her, Luo Wanqing felt as if she was being pressed down by a mountain, forcing her to stop.
“Benefactor,” Liu Xiniang’s voice filled with emotion.
Luo Wanqing fought until dizzy, and when she opened her eyes, she saw Liu Xiniang looking at her with distress. “Troubled you.”
Luo Wanqing couldn’t react. She subconsciously turned around and saw a row of people collapsed on the ground. Wang Qiniang’s group had skillfully laid on the ground long before the jailers arrived, rolling and wailing. Her mother and sister-in-law had colorful bodies and messy hair, protecting Luo Wenshui as they stood next to her, viciously looking at Wang Qiniang on the ground.
The jailer stood aside, looking at the two groups of people with an iron face, angrily shouting, “Who started it?”
“Me!” Liu Xiniang stood out, looked at the jailer, and boldly pointed to Luo Wanqing, “My lord, me and Doctor Luo start the fight. If you want to punish, then punish us. Doctor Yao is old, and Mrs. Luo still has to look after the child. Please do us a favor and put the punishment on me and Doctor Luo. We are willing to bear it together!”
Liu Xiniang was familiar with the rules of the prison. Before Luo Wanqing could open her mouth, the jailer said, “Fine. This official is not an unsympathetic person. Since you took the initiative to receive the punishment, you and Dr. Luo will sit together in the dungeon. Take Dr. Yao and Mrs. Luo’s portion, too!”
The jailer looked at Wang Qiniang and the others with disgust, waved his hand, and said, “Drag this group to the medical department. Don’t beat them to death. Take Liu Xiniang and Luo Wanqing to the dungeon and lock them up for six days.”
“Wanqing!” Upon hearing these words, Yao Zelan finally reacted to what had happened, and she rushed forward to try and grab Luo Wanqing.
Liu Xiniang, however, as if she already knew Yao Zelan’s intentions, stepped forward to separate Yao Zelan and Luo Wanqing. While winking towards Luo Wanqing, she grabbed Yao Zelan’s hand and soothed her: “Doctor Yao, leave Doctor Luo to me. Have a good rest, don’t worry, we will come back intact in six days.”
Those beatings made Luo Wanqing dizzy. When Liu Xiniang stopped Yao Zelan, her whole head buzzed. She let the jailer drag her and brought her out.
When she exited the cell, Liu Xiniang hurriedly followed. She walked to Luo Wanqing’s side, clapped her hands, and laughed softly, “Done.”
The jailer walked in front of them, not too far away. Luo Wanqing, with her messy hair and a face of scratches and bruises, heard the word before she reacted, looked at her incredulously, and said, “This is your plan?”
“Yes,” Liu Xiniang was quite proud of herself, observing the surroundings and replying softly, “Look, aren’t we going to the dungeon now? I’ll tear down the walls for you and let you see Xie Heng tonight. How about it?” Liu Xiniang poked her with her elbow with a quick-praise-me look. “My plan, isn’t it perfect?”
Luo Wanqing didn’t say anything. She rolled her eyes at Liu Xiniang. She suddenly understood why, in her dream, Liu Xiniang was the only one from the Feng Yu Pavilion who could escape. With this clear thinking, Xie Heng probably wasn’t her match.
“You’re at least an assassin of the Feng Yu Pavilion,” Luo Wanqing closed her eyes and slowed down. She couldn’t help but suppress herself, “Don’t you have some other people to help you out in the prison?”
“My mission is quite special. I won’t contact the Pavilion if I don’t need to.” Liu Xiniang tossed the chain in her hand and leisurely said, “We can only rely on ourselves.”
They walked in silence to the dungeon. The jailer pulled open the door, revealing a deep bottomless puddle of water, and said: “Go in.”
“Okay!” Liu Xiniang took the lead and jumped in, then turned her head to look at Luo Wanqing, kindly reaching out her hand, “Come on.”
Luo Wanqing lowered her head and saw that the puddle was full of sewage. The sewage was up to a human chest high. If one entered this water in summer, it would be fine. But if one entered this water in winter, one would die of cold if one’s body wasn’t good.
She hesitated before clenched her teeth, held Liu Xiniang’s hand, and jumped. The cold sewage water mixed with the winter chill made her instantly jolt. She had planned to fight it hard, but she shivered. Then, she felt a warm current pass from Liu Xiniang’s hand.
Luo Wanqing looked surprised. Liu Xiniang grinned, “This is the benefit of practicing martial arts.”
Luo Wanqing understood that this was probably the ‘true qi’ that martial arts practitioners talk about, and she couldn’t help but be curious: “Is this internal energy? Is it easy to practice? How long does it take to learn?”
“It’s hard to say,” Liu Xiniang turned her head to tap on the wall, feeling the wall on one side while answering solemnly. “Those who have talent are quick. Those who don’t won’t be able to learn it for the rest of their lives. Some have no choice but to use someone else’s.”
“You can use someone else’s?”
Luo Wanqing found it unbelievable. Liu Xiniang laughed, “Didn’t you read those books? A lucky teenager meets a supreme master, and then the supreme master will put seventy years of internal force into the other person’s body. It’s not impossible, just that very few people do it.”
“Why?”
“Who would give away decades of power for nothing?” Liu Xiniang glanced at Luo Wanqing, “Moreover, even if someone sends it, it depends on whether the person receiving it has the life to do so. Someone else’s will eventually be someone else’s. When it arrives in your body, you won’t necessarily be able to stand it. Except if one is in too much of a hurry. Otherwise, who’s family would be willing to give up their disciple for such a mess?”
“That’s true,” Luo Wanqing pursed her lips, “It’s not yours. It wouldn’t be good to take someone else’s.” Luo Wanqing noticed Liu Xiniang’s movements and frowned, “What are you knocking?”
“I’m searching where it’s fit to break down. Let’s destroy the wall first, then restore it, leaving only one brick in place for observation. As soon as Xie Heng appears,” Liu Xiniang turned her head to look at her and made a ‘push’ gesture, “You’ll move through the wall and run out!”
“What about you?”
Luo Wanqing was curious. Liu Xiniang had followed her and hadn’t bothered with the people of the Feng Yu Pavilion at all. She tried to file a complaint, and if they caught her, she might implicate Liu Xiniang. She didn’t understand how Liu Xiniang would respond if the Inspection Department asked her.
However, Liu Xiniang seemed to have thought of a solution long ago. She raised her hand and pointed to the chain hanging high on the side, saying, “Later on, I’ll tie myself up and pretend to be unconscious. When you go out, you can say that you knocked me out, I don’t know anything, and that it was all your own doing.”
“Alright.” Luo Wanqing nodded her head. At this time, Liu Xiniang touched a broken stone. She cracked her fingers and happily said, “Alright, here it is.” With that, she started scraping the lime with her fingernails. Seeing this, Luo Wanqing drew out the dagger Jiang Shaoyan gave her from her waist and handed it to Liu Xiniang: “Use this.”
“Okay. Thank — you,” Liu Xiniang drew the dagger, and before she finished speaking, she froze in place. She looked at it in shock.
Luo Wanqing looked confusedly, “What’s wrong?”
“This dagger of yours ……,” Liu Xiniang seemed to use a lot of strength to press herself to calm down, revealing a smile with difficulty, “Where did it come from?”
“Jiang Shaoyan gave it to me,” Luo Wanqing felt strange, “What’s wrong?”
