Better To Be A Demon Than Immortal (NPH) - Chapter 4
Chapter 4
Liu Wu’s Blood
“Miss Wei Zi, it’s like this. We saw that you were with the young male prostitute yesterday, and he was victimized by an evil spirit last night.” Cui Yu said.
“Miss Wei Zi, we were worried about your safety, so we came,” Liu Wu said.
“Evil spirits?” Wei Zi’s face looked pale.
“Don’t be afraid, Miss. Can you take us to your room so we can set up some spell formations for you?” Cui Yu said.
Wei Zi already had some guesses in her mind. If she didn’t take these two there, they would suspect her. After all, she was indeed practicing some evil magic.
“Don’t be afraid, Miss Wei Zi. My senior brother and I are powerful. We will protect you.” Liu Wu said.
“Thank you, Mr. Liu, Mr. Cui.” Wei Zi guided the two to her room.
Once the two entered the room, the bird started fluttering in the cage. Liu Wu wanted to look more friendly and reached out to tease the bird, “Miss Wei Zi, this bird is quite cute.”
“Ouch!” Just as Liu Wu finished his words, the bird’s beak pecked him until a drop of blood came out.
“Mr. Liu, are you okay?” Seeing this, Wei Zi put the silk handkerchief embroidered with peonies in her hand to bandage Liu Wu’s finger.
Liu Wu’s face was slightly red, “Miss Wei Zi, I’m fine.”
“This bird is not well-behaved at all.” Wei Zi laughed, then gave the bird a cold look.
Cui Yu inspected Wei Zi’s bed and couch. He found that this was the place with the most fragrant powder, and then picked up yesterday’s Wei Zi dress and put it between his nose to smell it carefully.
“Miss Wei Zi, please tell me, who was with you last night?” Cui Yu asked.
Wei Zi looked at Liu Wu with some difficulty.
“Miss Wei Zi, my senior brother is doing this for your own good. This person is probably an evil spirit, and he is trying to harm you.” Liu Wu reassured.
“Yanzhe Pavilion’s opera singer, Lian Sheng.” Wei Zi said.
After obtaining her trust, Cui Yu and Liu Wu made a spell on her boudoir.
“Miss Wei Zi, don’t go out. Wait for me to catch the evil spirits and return to see you.” Liu Wu urged her.
They are stupid and adorable, Wei Zi said in her heart. Then, she picked up the feather to poke the bird’s wound again and said, “Why do you always like to bring me trouble?”
“This Lian Sheng seems to be in trouble. It looks like I don’t need to do it myself.”
Lian Sheng hides in the shadows and watches Wei Zi welcome the two immortals before mentally torturing himself, whether she has him in her heart.
Maybe she was still remembering some moments of affection.
Looking at the direction they were leaving, his heart completely went cold.
Wei Zi was on the bed with her knees crossed to cultivate. This time she had managed to get the righteous technique from the market. The more she practiced, the more uncomfortable she felt in her mind.
“Zi’er ……” a mournful voice sounded outside. Wei Zi knew it was Lian Sheng as soon as she heard it.
“Zi’er, they’ve already beaten me half to death. Please come out to see me one last time.” Lian Sheng said.
“Lian Sheng, I’m trapped by them. Come in if you want to see me one last time.” Wei Zi cried out miserably.
“Zi’er, you’re so cruel. My soul is bound to be scattered if I come in.” Lian Sheng sneered.
Wei Zi thought, why aren’t these two people back yet? How can she beat Lian Sheng with her meager spells? Her leather whip is still bound to Duwu, and she can’t absorb the yang qi on her bracelet.
T/N: Duwu is the bird. Its name will reveal in the next chapter.
No matter how Lian Sheng lamented and showed emotion, Wei Zi didn’t budge. Lian Sheng felt that his blood and tears had dried up.
He said hatefully, “Zi’er, in that case, let’s die together. Before you fly away in ashes, you’ll be the ghost to accompany me.”
Not good, Wei Zi secretly said in her heart.
Lian Sheng broke into Wei Zi’s boudoir as if he didn’t care about his life, cracks appeared in the formation, and Lian Sheng’s whole body was on fire.
Liu Wu and Cui Yu noticed something strange concurrently. However, a puppet owned by Lian Sheng tricked them into going elsewhere. At this moment, the two people anxiously rushed back.
