Became the Terminally Ill Supporting Male Lead’s Rabbit Spirit - Chapter 10
Chapter 10
During class, the teacher walked into the classroom with the transfer student.
“Please introduce yourself to the class.”
The male student was lean, with chiseled, handsome features. His gaze was arrogant, and he exuded a cold aura, clearly someone not to be trifled with. “Fu Baili.”
Whistle.
The appearance of the transfer student instantly caused a buzz among the students.
So handsome, definitely on the level of the school’s top heartthrob.
“The new student is so handsome! I heard from others that his family donated a library building to the school. He’s both handsome and rich; many people will definitely like him,” Ling Hui whispered excitedly to Zhao Youyou.
“Yes.”
Zhao Youyou seemed lost in thought.
She recalled that in her previous life, she was one of Fu Baili’s admirers. She chased after him recklessly and shamelessly, enduring the ridicule of others.
Now, she had come to her senses and understood the gap between her family background and Fu Baili’s. She wouldn’t fall for him again.
“Fu Baili, there’s an empty seat at the back. You can sit there for now,” the teacher said.
Fu Baili walked down the podium with confident strides, heading towards the empty seat. He raised an eyebrow, the corner of his mouth turning up in a roguish smirk, making the hearts of the surrounding girls flutter once more.
Fu Baili’s seat was right next to Lu Zhe’s, separated by an aisle.
When class ended, many students gathered around Fu Baili’s desk.
Especially the girls, they eagerly offered their assistance in case he needed help with his studies. Many of the boys were irked by Fu Baili’s arrogant demeanor but didn’t dare to provoke him, given the rumors about his prominent family background.
Su Ci lazily lifted her eyelids, her ears twitching, finding the noise bothersome.
She glanced at Fu Baili, who had a cold expression, as if he was the most superior and formidable person in the whole world. Hearing the discussions around her about Fu Baili being the school’s top heartthrob, she rolled her eyes in annoyance.
If it weren’t for Lu Zhe’s ALS, which made his face rigid and caused his cheeks to sink in slightly, how could Fu Baili even stand a chance against him?
Moreover, Lu Zhe was the top student in their grade. On the other hand, this male protagonist, Fu Baili, was merely a poor student.
Unfortunately, the aura of Fu Baili, the male protagonist, was so intense that it blinded everyone. They ignored the top-ranking student and instead fawned over the underachiever.
Su Ci turned her head and continued to close her eyes, trying to sleep.
In just a single day, Fu Baili’s name was all over the school forum, filling dozens of posts. Many people were clamoring for pictures of this ‘school heartthrob’. Numerous girls intentionally passed by the classroom door or waited outside the school gates, hoping for a chance encounter with Fu Baili.
When school ended, Fu Baili climbed into a globally limited-edition luxury car, leaving everyone in awe.
Su Ci peeked her head out from Lu Zhe’s backpack. Well, in the eyes of the masses, the aura of the male protagonist just seemed to have grown even larger.
…
At night, the radiant moonlight fell on the treetops lining the streets. A gentle breeze swept by, dispelling the day’s heat.
It was Thursday, and Lu Zhe didn’t have to go to the computer store.
Su Ci lay on his gray bed, watching him sit at his desk, typing on the keyboard. The screen displayed lines of code she couldn’t comprehend. The computer’s glow illuminated Lu Zhe’s profile, highlighting his distinct features.
The more she observed, the more captivated Su Ci became.
She genuinely believed that every feature of Lu Zhe’s face met her aesthetic standards.
His profound eyes, prominent nose, and thin lips were alluring.
And not to mention his physique. Broad shoulders, a slender waist, and even wearing a rather mundane blue school uniform couldn’t hide the allure of his long legs. Moreover, Lu Zhe’s fingers, tapping away the keyboard, were so slender and beautiful. When they caressed her head, it felt comforting.
Suddenly, Su Ci felt that kissing Lu Zhe would be entirely worth it.
The frustrating part was, he didn’t kiss her.
With her being such an adorable and soft bunny, wasn’t there a moment when he felt overwhelmed with affection and wanted to kiss her?
Thinking about this, Su Ci gritted her teeth and called out to Fu Gui, “Do you have a way to make Lu Zhe faint? That way, I can do whatever I want and freely kiss him.”
Fu Gui trembled in fear: [I can’t. I don’t have a physical form and can’t control anyone.]
Su Ci looked very displeased, “What use are you then?”
Fu Gui felt wronged but chose to remain silent.
Scratching her head with her little paws, Su Ci felt frustrated. Did she have to wait for Lu Zhe to get drunk again to have a chance to revert to her human form?
The night deepened.
Lu Zhe came in after taking a shower, droplets of water still lingering on his face, following his jawline before disappeared into his neckline. Walking to the bed, he casually picked up the bunny lying there, intending to put her back into the rabbit cage.
Realizing his intent, Su Ci struggled intensely.
Ever since Lu Zhe bought the rabbit cage, he would lock her inside every night before going to sleep to prevent her from escaping, completely interrupting her plans to sneakily kiss him during the night.
Seeing that he wanted to put her back inside now, she was not having it.
Upon reaching the bunny cage, Lu Zhe noticed the rabbit in his hands struggling fiercely. Its tiny legs flail wildly, its soft body wriggling non-stop, and its pair of red eyes looked at him with a pitifully.
Lu Zhe paused.
The bunny also became still.
“Do you not want to go in?” Lu Zhe asked the rabbit in his hand.
Su Ci hurriedly nodded, and obediently rubbed her head against the palm of his hand.
She didn’t want to be confined in a cage. She wanted to sleep on the bed!
He was aware that the bunny he picked up had a certain level of intelligence, but he didn’t expect it to truly understand his words.
His cold palm tickled from the rubbing. Lu Zhe curled his lips slightly, closed the bunny cage, then turned off the lights in the room.
When Su Ci settled back on the bed, a moment later, she felt pressure next to her, indicating someone’s presence. She froze.
Ah, the heavens favor a persistent bunny!
Her tiny heart raced, and as she took in the cold scent of the boy next to her, Su Ci stayed still, waiting for the moment Lu Zhe fell asleep so she could sneak a kiss.
The dimly lit room was silent, save for the soft whirring of fan and the occasional distant honk of car from the outside.
Su Ci’s eyelids grew heavier. Had Lu Zhe fallen asleep?
She was so sleepy.
Gradually, Su Ci’s eyes closed completely.
After an unknown amount of time, a sudden muscle spasm jerked Lu Zhe awake.
In the darkness, his eyes were deep and dark, like ink. Lately, these muscle spasms had become more frequent.
Lu Zhe lay there, waiting for the twitching to stop, lost in his thoughts.
Suddenly, a soft and warm sensation brushed against his cold hand. Only then did he remember that he had let the rabbit sleep on his bed.
Turning his body slightly and with the help of the moonlight filtering through the clear glass window, he saw the rabbit curled up into a small snowball.
A faint smile appeared in his dark eyes.
He noticed that, lately, this little pet was always trying to get close to him.
Lifting the bunny closer to his chest, Lu Zhe lowered his head and gently kissed the soft little creature.
In the deep of the night without air conditioning in the room, the fan couldn’t dispel the stifling heat.
Su Ci hated heat the most.
Feeling the coldness beside her, in her drowsiness, she snuggled closer, naturally wrapping her arms around the icy figure.
Still feeling warm, Su Ci rubbed her head against him, relishing in the cool sensation, finally feeling content.
Lu Zhe had just fallen asleep when he suddenly felt something holding onto his waist and something soft rubbing against his chest.
Reaching out to touch it, he felt a smooth and delicate texture under his fingers.
His eyes snapped open and looked down.
Under the hazy moonlight, the girl looked stunning like a fairy. Her soft face nuzzled against his chest, and her skin was as white as snow.
Lu Zhe stiffened, hastily grabbing the blanket next to him to cover the girl, who wasn’t wearing any clothes, obscuring the astonishing sight.
He got up and quickly switched on the bedside lamp.
The dim room instantly lit up.
The bright light momentarily blinded Su Ci, and she instinctively buried her head into the blanket, murmuring, “So sleepy, why did you turn the light on?” Her voice was soft and melodic, full of drowsiness, almost like a coquettish whisper.
Lu Zhe stood by the bed, his pitch-black eyes fixed on the slender figure cocooned in the blanket, becoming fully alert.
“Who are you?”
He demanded.
Su Ci stirred a little under the blanket, continuing to sleep soundly.
Getting no response, Lu Zhe leaned over, intending to wake her up. The next moment, his gaze unintentionally landed on the girl’s exposed feet outside the blanket. There, a red string adorned with a tiny jade gourd was wrapped around her ankle. That delicate string made her ankle appear even more fair and lovely.
Lu Zhe forcefully closed his eyes, trying to suppress the absurd thoughts flooding his mind.
He reached out and lifted a small part of the blanket, exposing the girl’s face to the light. His voice was icy, “Wake up!”
The glaring light irritated her eyes, causing Su Ci’s beautiful eyebrows to furrow.
She yawned sleepily, slowly opening her eyes.
A cold, handsome face loomed in front of her.
Su Ci blinked, her mind still fuzzy, but she remembered her intention to kiss Lu Zhe.
“It’s you, Lu Zhe. Great, I want to kiss you.”
She stretched out two ‘paws’ and softly clung to Lu Zhe’s shoulders. Slightly lifting herself up, her beautiful red lips met Lu Zhe’s.
They were soft and a bit cold.
She blinked again.
Su Ci felt the tension in the young man’s shoulders beneath her grip.
Drawing back, she sensed something was amiss. Su Ci’s gaze shifted to the hands she had wrapped around Lu Zhe’s shoulders, only to see that her tiny paws had transformed into slender, fair arms.
Su Ci paused in shock.
Quickly looking down, she caught sight of her delicate collarbones which became visible as she leaned forward, and the enticing snowy skin beneath.
As realization dawned, Su Ci’s eyes, misted with confusion, widened in astonishment.
Aaahhh!!
Su Ci couldn’t believe it, she was frantically calling Fu Gui in her mind.
“Fu Gui, come out now! It seems I’ve turned back into a human in front of Lu Zhe!”
I’m doomed! I’m so doomed!
