Alien Bar: Found a Wizard Girl, Gale Sword - Chapter 9: “Put it… on me.”
“This is also for you.”
Leading Lanya back to the room, Leon placed the bag containing milk and bread on the table and pointed at the bag.
On the way back, he had noticed her stealing glances at the bag he was carrying. He found it both amusing and somewhat sympathetic.
“Really?” Lanya’s face lit up. Then, she seemed a bit embarrassed and said, “Maybe not, you haven’t eaten yet.”
“I’ll go to the kitchen and make some noodles.”
Blinking, Lanya asked, “Could you make two bowls?”
Leon stared at her slim waist in surprise. “You can eat more?”
Patting her stomach confidently, Lanya replied, “Don’t worry, I’m fine!”
Leon went to the kitchen, and Lanya sat down at the desk, munching on bread while observing the room.
The room wasn’t big, but it was neat. There was a single bed, a desk, a simple wardrobe, and not much space left.
Several thick books were arranged on the desk, and from the labels on the covers, they seemed to be about alcohol.
When Lanya saw the narrow single bed, her face slightly reddened. Such a narrow bed wouldn’t be suitable for two people to sleep safely. She might as well meditate here for the night.
Leon returned with two steaming bowls of noodles. Lanya had already smelled the aroma and opened the door to welcome him.
With only one chair in the room, Leon moved the desk beside the bed, allowing Lanya to sit on the bed while he took the chair.
“Smells wonderful. Why are you so skilled? Not only can you mix great drinks, but your noodles are delicious too!”
Taking a bite of the noodles, Lanya praised Leon without reservation.
“By the way, what’s ‘cosplayer’?” Lanya asked with a mouthful of noodles, cheeks puffed out.
The man they had encountered at the entrance seemed quite surprised by something she had said.
“It’s just people who like to wear special clothes, don’t worry about it.”
Clearly, Gao Wenyang had misunderstood, and there was no need for Lanya to know about this aspect of the local world.
She was from a different world and would return tomorrow. She shouldn’t be influenced by this world.
“Oh.”
Lanya responded indifferently and continued eating her noodles.
After finishing the noodles, Lanya’s bowl was spotlessly clean, not a drop of soup left. She then set her sights on Leon’s bowl.
“Leon, are you going to drink the soup in your bowl too?”
Leon pushed his bowl toward her, silently sighing again. What kind of life had she led before to have such an appetite?
After downing the soup in Leon’s bowl, Lanya leaned back on the bed, lightly touching her slightly bloated belly, emitting a satisfied sound.
Leon collected the bowls and utensils, washed them in the kitchen, an didn’t return to the room. Instead, he sat on the sofa in the living room.
He would spend the night here.
Not long after lying down, he heard the sound of the door opening. Opening his eyes, he saw Lanya emerging from the room and coming to the sofa. Her face was blushing, seemingly embarrassed about something.
“What’s wrong?” Leon asked softly.
“I seem unable to convert the food from this world into magic power. I drank too much soup, so… well…”
Lanya clasped her hands together, her face turning slightly red as she shifted uncomfortably.
Leon instantly understood.
“No need to explain, I understand.”
Then, he led Lanya to the bathroom door.
“The bathroom is here.”
When Lanya entered the bathroom, Leon seemed to hear a faint thank you.
However, the door closed again quickly. A moment later, a soft click followed by a pitter-patter sound could be heard from behind the bathroom door.
What had she done in there?
Regardless of his curiosity, Leon couldn’t just open the door to check at this moment.
Soon, there was a soft creak, and the bathroom door slowly opened. Lanya leaned against the door frame, half her body sticking out, her face unusually pale, appearing extremely weak.
She extended a hand toward Leon, struggling to say, “Help… help me.”
Leon rushed over and supported her.
“What happened?”
When he saw the bathroom, he couldn’t help but be stunned.
The old and yellowed toilet had been transformed. It looked as if it were brand new, its porcelain surface whiter than a freshly peeled egg, so white that it was almost blinding.
“What did you do to it?”
Lanya collapsed into Leon’s arms, smiling weakly. “I didn’t expect… using a basic purification spell here would consume even more magic power than a high-level curse. It drained all my magic, but I couldn’t bear its filth… I had no choice…”
“You used magic?”
“Yeah, could you… help me back to the room? I can’t even walk now.” As she said this, a blush crept back onto Lanya’s pale face.
Leon easily picked her up. She was incredibly light, like a soft cloud.
Her hat slipped off suddenly, and her chestnut-colored, silky hair flowed down like mercury. It brushed against her slightly flustered, fair face and also slid across the back of Leon’s hand, feeling cold and smooth, like silk.
“My hat…” Lanya exclaimed, reaching out her hand.
“Don’t move, I’ll get it.”
Leon crouched down, temporarily placing her on his thigh. With one arm around her body, he retrieved the hat from the floor.
As he stood up while holding Lanya, he noticed her face growing even redder.
Leon placed Lanya back on the single bed, tucking her in under the blanket.
“Rest well.”
“The hat…”
Lanya stared at the hat in Leon’s hand.
“Do you sleep wearing it too?”
“Put it… on me.”
Leon had intended to place her hat by the bedside, but hearing her request, he gently set the hat on her chest.
“Goodnight.”
“Yeah, thanks… goodnight.”
Lanya closed her eyes with a peaceful expression, her long eyelashes resembling flower buds, as if foreshadowing a sweet dream.
