Chapter 20

Carlisle imagined himself conversing with Abella in his true form one day.

He wanted to be a big beast, well over two meters tall, pushing his crimson flesh into her, bulging through his black fur.

He wanted to savagely drive his wolf’s c*ck, which was so different from a human’s, so pointed and rough, between those perfect buttocks.

Carlisle could never bring himself to do this, at least not yet.

* * *

Abella grunted in pain as she shifted and stretched.

“Haaahhh…….”

“Are you awake?”

Carlisle, who was first up, whispered as he handed her lukewarm water.

“Sweetie, are you awake?”

“Yes, and I thought you were  sleeping very deeply…… so I couldn’t wake you up.”

“Yeah, I know, I feel like I slept a weird amount of time, you know like I’m going to be blown away?”

Abella walked into the kitchen, making a sarcastic remark about her weirdly formed figure.

“I’ve got breakfast all ready for you.”

“Oh, thanks.”

Carlisle’s breakfast was simple: her preferred hard-boiled eggs, toast, and raspberry jam.

“What about you? Aren’t you hungry?”

Abella inquires, generously spreading raspberry jam on her bread. Carlisle can only smirk now that he is sitting across from her.

“I ate.”

“Really, you must have gotten up really early today?”

“More than that, Mom, I’m going to the store with you again today, right?”

“Of course!”

Carlisle returned the favor with a smile after Abella replied with a smile.

“I’m glad,” he went on to say, “that I won’t have to wait for you at home alone anymore…….”

Carlisle’s voice trailed off as he spoke gently. His eyes, which were somewhat sunken, reminded Abella of a puppy on the edge of being abandoned rather than a wolf, and she felt sorry for him.

“I’m sorry…… you’ve been home alone all this time, haven’t you?”

“No, I don’t mind being alone during the day as long as I can be with you.”

“Really?”

“Yes, really.”

Abella touched him on the head several times as if to compliment him. Carlisle then grinned innocently.

Abella, who had no idea what had happened to me the night before, could only smile back at Carlisle.

* * *

Abella felt something was awry as she undressed after entering the bathroom alone to take a brief shower before heading out to the store.

“Huh……?

What exactly is this?

There was a small amount of yellowish liquid on her underpants, which she had just removed; it had been a long time since she had done so, and she was thin.

Abella was well aware that her body did not produce such contaminants, since pus from a woman’s p*ssy was always clear.

She blinked and held the underpants for a long while, perplexed by what was going on.

‘It’s just like that……

When guys ejaculate, this is what comes out.

She’d never seen it, but she’d read about it and assumed she knew what color it was.

“How come it’s on my underwear?”

It was unusual since it was just where my p*ssy was touching as if it was coming from her own hole.

“Did it truly originate in my body?”

Abella shook her head, then threw her clothing into the laundry.

“Oh, it’s most likely nothing.”

All it takes is a slightly darker color.

Abella thought to herself as she started getting ready for work.

* * *

“What……?”

Carlisle, who was tending to herbs nearby, approached carefully as Abella shook her head as she organized the storehouse.

“Mother, is there something wrong?”

“Um…… baby, did you sell any Nephra herbs yesterday?”

“Nephra herb?”

“Oh, that’s the name of the herb for insomnia. I must have picked a bunch of it up in the mountains a while ago and dried it out…… and now I see it’s out of stock.”

Abella stated while rummaging elsewhere.

“It’s a pretty strong sleeping herb, so…… if someone picks it up and eats the whole thing, I’ll be in big trouble.”

“Big trouble?”

“Oh, not a big deal, but…… could make you sleep for a day, which is why you have to drink it as tea……..”

“Oh…… really? What should I do? I think I must have made a mistake yesterday…….”

Carlisle clenched his fists in despair.

On his first day of assisting out at the shop, he made a mistake. He pursed his lips and bent his head toward Abella in sincere apology.

“I must have made a mistake, I’m so…… sorry, I’ve been so incompetent since day one…….”

Carlisle tightened his fists and hung his head.

“I’m sorry…… I’m sorry, Mother…….”

Abella gently calmed him as she watched him sob pathetically like a lost dog.

“No, it’s okay, it wasn’t that expensive of a herb, really.”

She did, however, feel a shudder travel down her spine. I had a strong feeling that I shouldn’t let it go.

“Oh, I’ll just take a little herb……”

Abella tried to shake it off while soothing Carlisle.

If he makes an incident, she’ll notice and he apologize even more……

Let us move on.

Carlisle’s shoulders slumped in surprise as he realized he’d made a mistake, and he moaned guiltily.

“I just want to help you, I wanted to follow you, and I’m so embarrassed……. I’m so sorry…….”

“An embarrassment, I’m just glad I can stay with you all day.”

Abella tried to maintain a straight expression.

“I really shouldn’t mind. It’s not a poisonous herb.”

“Really……?”

“Yeah, really.”

Carlisle’s face remained expressionless despite the assurances. His eyes were fixed on the ground, his face expressionless.

Abella gave out a little laugh when she saw him that way as if she knew he would.

“Baby”

“Yes, Mom.”

Carlisle called her mother, as he always did.

“You know what? Mommy hates you because of this, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

Abella stated this while delicately touching Carlisle’s cheek and gazing at him in the eyes.

“It’s really okay, don’t be depressed. Okay?”

“……I’m sorry.”

“Stop saying you’re sorry.”

“But…….”

“Enough with the buts.”

“……Then there’s nothing to say.”

With a grimace, he stuck out his mouth and murmured.

“I’m really sorry…….”

“Are you sure my mom’s okay?”

Carlisle could only pout and softly grip the hem of Abella’s dress, speechless.

“It’s okay, it’s okay. Mommy made a lot of mistakes when she first started.”

Looking at Carlisle, who didn’t seem to be improving, she cautiously opened her arms.

“Come here, sweetie, and I’ll give you a big hug to cheer you up.”

Her tone was purposefully childish, but Carlisle didn’t seem to bother, burrowing directly into Abella’s arms.

Of course, because he was so much bigger, she appeared to be carrying him rather than him carrying her, but that didn’t matter.

Abella stroked his wide back and soothed him as if he were a kid. Carlisle’s stature was a diversion, yet he still felt like a tiny child to her.

“Awww, my baby. You’re still a baby, baby.”

“……No, I’m all grown up.”

“Ouch, you did?”

Carlisle dropped his shoulders even more and didn’t respond because it was evident she was making fun of him.

“A real grown-up should be able to shake things like this off pretty quickly.”

Carlisle buried his face in the crook of her neck and nodded.

“He’s beautiful, and he listens. He’s the prettiest boy.”

Yes, he’s lovely and charming, but don’t get too creepy with him.

Abella comforted Carlisle and herself by whispering a dozen sweet phrases into his ear, driving down a lingering anger.

Carlisle could only offer a feeble smile in response.

* * *

Abella had fallen asleep early once more, before the gloom of the night. Carlisle observed her sleeping as still as yesterday, hidden beneath the covers, oblivious to the outside world.

The moonlight coming in through the window gave Abella a beautiful shine.

“Mother.”

Carlisle was acting strangely tonight.

His clothes and hair were unkempt as if he had just returned from a night out.

“I apologize for taking your herbs without permission.”

Carlisle didn’t even blink as he continued to remove Abella’s underwear.

“From now on, I’ll be gathering my own from the mountains.”
